Hickey's Parting Words

You own views are appreciated, especially if they differ from mine. But remember, commenting is a privilege, not a right. I will delete personal attacks or off-topic remarks at my discretion. Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics. My decisions on these matters are made on a case by case basis, and may be affected by my mood that day, my access to the blog at the time the comment was made or other information that isn’t readily apparent.
Presumably Hickey will be reporting to the Camp section of the facility.
ReplyDeleteThe most lovable scalawag in LV politics. Make your license plates well, Jim. See you on the flip ...
ReplyDeleteCamp.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of license plates....
ReplyDeletePrisoners in the New Hampshire state prison in Concord, New Hampshire, stamp license plates with the state's motto: "Live Free or Die."
Oh, how ironic!

You proud of your friend in prison Behar ?.
ReplyDeleteJim will endure this continuation of the Long Night and finally through tenacity, wit and courageous intelligence will quickly Return to Grace's light. Be well good enduring friend...
ReplyDelete”You proud of your friend in prison Behar ?.”
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely. He is a great person and friend. That’s a concept unfamiliar to you. Go back to your booze, Robert Ryan. Must be sad that you have nothing better to do with your life than to anonymously troll others on a Friday night. No wonder your wife dumped you. All you have left is your framed picture of Donald Trump, your vodka and your hatred for everyone. JM will return for n 18 months to a family that loves him and all you have is your hate.
Hell Hickey might end up a consultant to the prison board ,to advise them about effective ways to safe money and run the place more efficiently! After all it took Willy Sutton to get the banks to reform and avoid constant bank robberies. The fact that the man is convicted might get him noticed in a larger arena. He’ll be out in 6 months - watch .
ReplyDeletePeter, with good-time credit, Jim might out in a year. But not six months.
ReplyDeleteSo much hate on this thread. As a close follower of this case, I actually feel badly for most of the people caught up in this. I know, call me a libtard snowflake, but I would prefer that most of the guilty, Hickey included, got probation, community service, a stiff fine and if very necessary, house arrest. Personally, I believe there are only 4 people in this corruption who deserve jail time.
ReplyDeleteOne of the people who deserves jail time has not been charged, i.e. Sam Ruchlewicz. He is a despicable person. The people who belong in jail are Dale Wiles (former city employee and a lawyer), Garrett Strathearn (former finance director who may have been getting kickbacks), Francis Dougherty (managing director of the city), Mike Fleck (one of the chief architects) and Fed Ed.
ReplyDeleteWiles has lost his license to practice but he was a city lawyer and has to spend some time in jail. I'd give him six months house arrest. Strathearn is a scummy guy, as I'm sure his presentence report reveals. Two years. Dougherty cooperated and was good on he stand, but was also the second highest ranking official in the city. One year home incarceration. Mike Fleck should get 4-6 years, and Fed Ed is looking at 10 minimum. It makes little sense to send most of these fellows to jail, as that just means we pay more. I'd rather have them working and paying a fine. I'd give Ramzi Haddad a medal. Mary Ellen Koval is an elderly lady. She was basically a secretary. I'd give her probation.
It’s a good thing a lowly blog writer has absolutely no impact on the sentences of these individuals. But I guess it takes a criminal to know a criminal.
ReplyDeleteNo , Bernie I say he is released 1st. Of the year . He’s not dangerous, he’s not hostel ,he’s an intelligent guy that won’t do it it again Has family never shot anybody . I say he’s out right after 1st of year..take a bet for charity? I will .
ReplyDeleteBernie, ,all the despicable lawyer types and Fleck ,wow. I would hang some people from bridges with cardboard notes attached to their corpse- but that’s why I’ll never get elected .I hate dishonest politicians so much , I would have them executed. And the families would never see a dime of state money . That would be the penalty! There should be no pension for Senator or Congressional representatives presently or in future . Period none.
ReplyDeleteHickey has been a bully and anti union person since he blocked non union contractors from working on the the NC prison / court house modification years ago, and now look closely as the renovation (s) are failing and the place is falling apart. Hickey should have to report to prison at northampton co. With a hard hat on and should start to make the necessary repairs himself.
