Warming Place, Overnight Shelter in Nazareth

Nazareth Borough Residents: The Moravian Church at 4 S. Main Street (In the circle) will provide overnight shelter starting at 6:00PM tonight for those without power. Please enter through the doors marked church office to the left front of the church. Residents are asked to bring their own pillow, blanket, or sleeping bag. We are also working with the Red Cross to see if we can get blankets and other items as well. You will be asked to sign in so we can obtain a headcount of those residents who need to utilize the shelter. Thank you to Pastor Gehris and the church for your assistance!   There is also a second warming station available until 8:00PM tonight at the Nazareth Ambulance Building located at 519 Seip Avenue Nazareth, PA for restrooms and cell phone charging.

Updated 7:30 pm: NorCo reports warming stations at Pen Argyl social hall, Washington township fire, Wolf Elementary in Bath, Upper Nazareth’s Municipal Bldg, and at locations in Forks Tp and Wind Gap. (Fails to  say where). If you know of any locations, feel free to list in the comments.

  7. You appear to be an expert on "bozos" @9:36 AM. Would you like some vegan hot chocolate to go with your whine?

You own views are appreciated, especially if they differ from mine. But remember, commenting is a privilege, not a right. I will delete personal attacks or off-topic remarks at my discretion. Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics. My decisions on these matters are made on a case by case basis, and may be affected by my mood that day, my access to the blog at the time the comment was made or other information that isn’t readily apparent.
