ACCHS: We Beat the Bubblers!
After failing to convince the attendant that I'm a student, it cost me $5 to get in. My hand was stamped with this:
BS? She must know me.
In the first game, four Central players scored in the double digits, showing a balance that portends well for them. Junior Chad Kratzer was unstoppable 16, followed by Jay Vaughan (14), Dat Lambert (13) and Nick Filchner (10). On Saturday night, Dat Lambert scored 19. He was named tournament MVP while fellow guard Jay Vaughan was selected to the all-tournament quad.
On Tuesday, Whitehall will host the Vikings.

You own views are appreciated, especially if they differ from mine. But remember, commenting is a privilege, not a right. I will delete personal attacks or off-topic remarks at my discretion. Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics. My decisions on these matters are made on a case by case basis, and may be affected by my mood that day, my access to the blog at the time the comment was made or other information that isn’t readily apparent.

ReplyDeleteI appreciate your enthusiasm and know you are speaking in jest, but some folks might get offended.
ReplyDeleteExercise one of the single most important activities a human can do to live a health life both physically and mentally...and sports is a good way to get some.
ReplyDeleteSports though can be turned into a powerful way to enforce tribalism and that's good for the state, which is why you get at least 10mins of a half hour news broadcast, to reinforce our political tribalism. Might even work here on your blog.
If only folks could discern between political enthusiasm for their team that leads them into saying the most outrageous things that then become policy.
My admiration is with those who love the game, understands the other team makes the game possible, and are, for the most part, just in it for the exercise.
MVP! Way to be Dat! You must be having an absolute blast, BO.
ReplyDeleteThe entire team should feel confident after these two wins because they all played well. They will be playing some really good schools, and look forward to it.
