Cartwright Secures Grant for Palmer Tp Firefighters
“Our nation’s firefighters are called upon day after day to protect American citizens,” said Rep. Cartwright, a member of the Congressional Fire Services Caucus. “As these brave men and women put themselves in harm’s way, we must ensure they are equipped with the best tools possible to do their jobs well, and today’s grants will help meet that goal.”
Someone ought to give Allentown Mayor Edwin "Fed Ed" Pawlowski this message.

You own views are appreciated, especially if they differ from mine. But remember, commenting is a privilege, not a right. I will delete personal attacks or off-topic remarks at my discretion. Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics. My decisions on these matters are made on a case by case basis, and may be affected by my mood that day, my access to the blog at the time the comment was made or other information that isn’t readily apparent.
Where is Mr. Do Nothing Charles Dent at? I guess doing nothing as always; being a typical establishment politico with a lot of wind and nothing to show for it!
ReplyDeleteLegislators have little to do with securing these grants. They merely provide the information that these funds are available. They have no influence on determining the recipients. The grants are very competitive, and usually go to the neediest of departments. The amounts awarded are dependent on the financial standings of the department. DCED grants, however, are much easier to acquire, although they are lower in amount.
ReplyDeleteWhat exactly did he do to secure the grant ?
ReplyDeleteSo, you are alleging that the fire co. received grants due to the influence of a congressman, these grants are applied for by all fire co. Are you saying if you have the right congressmen you will get a grant and if not you will be denied. Looks like an investigation into corruption should be appropriate. I am dismayed that you approve of Corruption when it suits you.
ReplyDeleteDon't blame the congressman, blame the asshole in city hall and his administration. Funny, it awful quiet from the Fire Admin on this as well.
