Donald Trump - Defamer-in-Chief

This is what our so-called President tweeted earlier this month:

3/4/17 6:35am: "Terrible! Just found out that Obama had my 'wires tapped' in Trump Tower just before the victory. Nothing found. This is McCarthyism!"

3/4/17 6:49am: "Is it legal for a sitting President to be 'wire tapping' a race for president prior to an election? Turned down by court earlier. A NEW LOW!"

3/4/17 6:52am: "I'd bet a good lawyer could make a great case out of the fact that President Obama was tapping my phones in October, just prior to Election!"

3/4/17 7:02am: "How low has President Obama gone to tapp my phones during the very sacred election process. This is Nixon/Watergate. Bad (or sick) guy!"

He accused his immediate predecessor of committing a felony. His myrmidons have since doubled and tripled down on these slurs, We now now the truth.

FBI Director James Comey and Admiral Mike Rogers, Director of the National Security Agency,  have convincingly established that there was no truth to Trump's assertions. They were made and repeated with reckless disregard for the truth. If you want to talk about "FAKE NEWS!," this is it. It's also serious misconduct from a sitting president. He is an embarrassment who needs to resign, and if he refuses, should be impeached.

  1. Let`s see if he has the courage to man-up and apologize to the former President for his loose tongue comments. My bet is he won`t. He lies so much he doesn`t know the difference between truth and make believe lying.

  2. No one gives a crap about this. Except the sniveling losers who supported Hillary. Trump is getting things done, keeping his promises and promoting massive job growth. Bernie, you will earn the title of "journalist" before Trump resigns or is impeached. On other words, when hell freezes over.

  3. He is a clown. He is an embarrassment to the nation. His behavior is that of a two year old. As analyzed, he is a classic narcissist. His personality is emotionally unstable.
The idea that he has accomplished so much in fifty days is silly. What has he accomplished?? Nothing but one blunder after another. He has emboldened our enemies and alienated our friends. He is a buffoon. He twits more nonsense than a twelve year old.

Even though Pence is an alt-right Christian theocratic ideologue, at least he will be rational when Trump finally resins in disgrace at some point.

  4. So much ado over nothing. What we have here is a case of the Empire Striking Back at Trump for trying to drain the swamp,

And the chief crocodile in that swamp is James Comey.

  5. Think about it for a moment, Our Intelligence community under Obama was caught bugging the phones of Angela Merkel and other heads of state, do you really think they would have any compunction about tapping the communications of Donald Trump, who clearly was a threat to Hillary Clinton and her planned coronation?

    Blah, blah, blah Russians...

    Blah, blah, blah Wiretaps...

    Blah, blah, blah Impeachment...

Blah, blah, blah racist, bigot, homophobe, xenophobe, transphobe...

This line of bullshit is just a huge waste of everyone's time to slow Trump down. What a load of crap.

Dems can't tout their policies, jobs record, healthcare success, inner city progress or foreign policies. All they have is a canard about why their power has caved. And... they keep digging deeper day after day.

  6. 4:57,
You believe the Great Liar in the oval office? SAD!
Every intelligence agency debunks his lie but you still think your glorious leader is sane. SAD!
The man will be impeached eventually.

  7. Impeachment? Not happening. Democrats have a numbers problem. And is Comey to be believed? He's ruined the FBI's reputation by playing politics. The only campaign to have met with the Russians was Hillary's. Trump is a buffoon. But he's a response to eight years of Obama and the worst candidate Democrats have ever offered. We deserve Trump, unfortunately.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Democrats may have a numbers problem, but Trump has managed to piss off a large number of Rs. And yes,I believe Comey over the liar who failed to offer any evidence to back up his lies, except for more lies.

  10. The hapless democrats and liberal media are whipping their smaller and smaller election base into a frenzy. They have obstructed this administration at every turn. Let this administration do what they promised, sink or swim, and end the good ole boy Washington network of cronies, useless legislators and leaders who lead from behind [Obama] just go away. Mr. Obama caused the quiet man to rise up and say "enough of this". And now, the entitlement pushers, bigger government proponents and establishment are all crying in their beers. While their radical Islam supporter is vacationing in the South Pacific; without his wife.

  11. Aside from insulting everyone, you have failed to address the reality that the so-called President is a liar. One who has slurred his immediate predecessor and even dragged the British and Angela Merkel into his web of deceit. He lacks any moral authority, and needs to resign or be impeached.

  12. Don't forget Australia. Trump hung up the phone in an apparent tantrum over a vetted refugees agreement already in place. Our own corn exports (farmers) may suffer because Mexico does have leverage and isn't a totally dirt poor country Trumpkins think it is.
Give him another year and he'll have every ally distancing themselves from him and us as a nation.

  14. Apologize?
    Don't think so.
In the great run of conspirator theories, this one will never die. Sure, if we want to believe that Presidents absolutely always operate within the law, then we should always put our faith in the FBI director. Who would think that a successor to a great man, J Edgar Hoover, would ever mislead us. The problem is the theory lives until the FBI produces a leaker with a plausible story of how the intelligence was gathered. I doubt that a leaker is ever found.

For all the haters of Trump, the Russian meddle will haunt his administration as a conspiracy and always undermine his legitimacy. Unfortunately, both conspiracies join a list of unproven-aliens at Roswell, the faked moon landings, the JFK assasinators, OJ's innocence, and on and on. Even, many of us are believing that Bernie O is not real, but a collection of frustrated, laid off, unemployed Morning Call opinion writers. A conspiracy for you.

  15. The notion that Comey is a liaris absurd. The simple truth (remember that word?) is that Trump has failed to offer a scintilla of evidence to substantiate his lie, but like all liars, has responded with more lies.

    From https://www.nytimes.com/2017/03/20/opinion/all-the-presidents-lies.html:

"He lies in ways that no American politician ever has before. He has lied about — among many other things — Obama’s birthplace, John F. Kennedy’s assassination, Sept. 11, the Iraq War, ISIS, NATO, military veterans, Mexican immigrants, Muslim immigrants, anti-Semitic attacks, the unemployment rate, the murder rate, the Electoral College, voter fraud and his groping of women.

"He tells so many untruths that it’s time to leave behind the textual parsing over which are unwitting and which are deliberate — as well as the condescending notion that most of Trump’s supporters enjoy his lies."

I do not enjoy his lies. I think they actually endanger our national security and make us a laughing stock.

We are killing ourselves from within and our enemies are enjoying every minute of it. We need to get back to our roots , not this socialist views that are failing around the world. 19. Trump is a liar - just like every many who's held the office. Comey is not believable, either. Our entire government is disgusting. Turn of, tune out, watch a baseball game.

    ReplyDelete
  20. 8:18, There is a difference between spying on foreign countries and wiretapping an American citizen in the US with no authority. There is a difference between a mistake and an outright lie. Trump is a liar. He needs to go.

    ReplyDelete
  21. 8:19 The notion that the entire government is disgusting is no justification for a president who engages in outright fabrication. We need to insist on a return to morality if not civility. It's time to impeach this so-called president.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I do not endorse his lies.

He gets away with it because of a distrust of government at all levels. Conspiracies always appealed to those on the political extremes. Those are characterized by a great distrust in government. Unfortunately, that distrust has moved to the middle. My healthcare cost me 12,000 dollars and I have to spend 4,500 before it kicks in. I made 19,000 last year. Every year my chosen health plan has ceased operations in Pennsylvania and every year I am assigned a new doctor. Was I lied to by Obama? That is why Trump got there in the first place. The issue now is will he out lie his predecessors on issues of importance. Four years is a long time.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Give up, Bernie. I have. Most republicans who voted for Trump live in a fact-free world.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Distrust of government is understandable. But you just make it worse when you install an incessant liar in the oval office.

  25. "Give up, Bernie. I have. Most republicans who voted for Trump live in a fact-free world."

But there are Rs out there who did not vote for Trump and who are very uneasy at what they see. Do not let his loud and obnoxious base fool you.

  28. Obama lied regularly but you never called him down. NYTimes started the wiretap story & my guess is that before this is over it will be verified. Republicans who voted for Trump are very happy as he is doing exactly what the voters wanted him to do--Draining the Washington swamp while bringing back American jobs taken by illegal immigrants paid under the table at your local restaurant.

  31. "Draining the swamp" is the biggest of the lies. Millionaires and billionaires with an agenda to increase their bottom line by removing restrictions on their business interests. The same way Bush did for the oil industry. Why is Trump so focused on having the investigation and citizens focus on anything other than his ties to Russia?

    ReplyDelete
  32. The real news from this Moday's Democratic orgy of hate is not that Comey "debunked” Trump’s wiretapping tweets.

Instead it left Trump's underlying claim intact: that there was surveillance of the Trump campaign by someone in the federal government; that the results were shared throughout the government — even possibly reaching the Obama White House; and that intelligence was leaked, illegally, to the mainstream media.

It seems that FBI Director Comey can reveal investigations related to the Trump campaign, but can't talk about any investigations related to either the Obama White House or the Hillary Clinton Campaign.

It should also be remembered that 98% of the Obama Justice Department contributed to the Hillary Clinton Campaign.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I was around during the Nixon years and there were die hard supporters who still believe he did nothing wrong and I am a Republican that voted for him twice. There are idiots in every generation who will never admit the truth or believe the lies they are told without question.

NO NYC bank will do business with him. His Deuchabank (sp ?) situation is a total mess and his former Mgr....Manafort is an international crook.
Stay to course BO and let me know the over/under on Pence inauguration.

    ReplyDelete
  36. If one listened to the Congressional Hearing yesterday with an unbiased mind, this is what you heard FBI Director James Comey say, "We don’t have any information that supports those tweets"

Democrats jumped to the conclusion that the charge is false. However, if you look at the other side of the coin, that there simply "was no evidence", that means there are actually three possibilities.

One is that Comey didn’t go after, and probably lacked the ability to go after, an investigation of what the intelligence agencies did during the campaign. When Comey says that he doesn’t have any information, he leaves open the possibility that it could exist but not be in his possession.

A second possibility is that intelligence agencies lie. This does not seem unreasonable, given that the basic nature of the work involves deception. If you don't maintain a culture of deception, you don't have a very good intelligence agency. But lie even to the FBI? Well, James Clapper admitted to lying to Congress.

A third possibility is that rogue members of US and British intelligence, sharing a political agenda favorable to Hillary Clinton, arranged leaks. Well, we already know that in the case of General Flynn unauthorized activity resulted in the leaking of intelligence data, though it it is not clear who leaked it. Yet.

None of the possibilities seem to be completely unrealistic. So I think that no definitive conclusion can be reached.

  39. One has to remember that this is the same Comey who couldn't find any "intent" to break the law concerning crooked Hillary's use of a private internet server and her mishandling of classified information on that server, which wasn't cleared for classified information in the first place. Which also is a felony but then, he didn't find any "intent" by her having it there in the first place.

Ask any military member if "intent" should be taken into consideration if and when doing the same thing from his cell in Leavenworth.

  77. Mr O'Hare

Looking at all of this hubbub, it's interesting that the Democrats suddenly have this great interest in how the Russians operate that they never displayed during the Obama years. Democrats seem to be shocked that Russia attempts to influence the election process.

OF COURSE Russia attempts to influence the election process. It's part of their basic way of doing things. Obama did the same thing in the BREXIT vote, and also in the Israeli elections. The Russians aren't really good at it, but they do what they can.

The only thing different in 2016 was that they were more effective because of the WikiLeaks revelations of the DNC emails and such, basically Russian intelligence was doing the job that a viable true media should be doing themselves. In other words, if we had good journalism in this country, those kinds of revelations would have been made by the media. However the media was acting as cheerleaders for the Clinton Campaign.

In the election, the American people had WikiLeaks to provide the information that normal journalists should provide in a normal kind of society – the society we had, let’s say, thirty years ago. That’s unfortunate. But for the Democrats to feign shock that Russia is attempting to do this by the Democrats is very disingenuous.

    ReplyDelete
  78. David let me be clear. this post is not about Democrats. It is not about WikiLeaks. It is not about the Russians. This post is about a president, a so-called president, who is incapable of telling the truth and who has engaged major misconduct. Your comments are nothing more than an attempted deflection.

I think Trump just said it's Obama because he was president while this stuff was going on, I think he realizes now that he is president and he personally does not have access to it... but I'm sure there's a fraternity/gang/crew/syndicate that does.

  81. ". This post is about a president, a so-called president, who is incapable of telling the truth and who has engaged major misconduct."

Incapable of telling the truth ? Major misconduct?

The point being that maybe we conservatives should just relax and smile at all of this hyperbole because the ridiculous liberal vituperation, their so-called “resistance” can’t amount to much in terms of moving the mass of the American people. Not so long as they insist upon shouting at them in what amounts to a foreign language, dripping with condescension.

And while President Trump has nowhere near the mastery of the language of someone like Churchill or Reagan, he’s brilliant in keeping his message simple and clear: bad, good, amazing, huge, sad, great, jobs, deal, wall.

I do wonder sometimes though, just what we would learn about President Obama's past if he hadn't spent $20 million to have nearly all of his university papers sealed. But I suppose, that's just a deflection and of no interest to you Mr O'Hare.

I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics. My decisions on these matters are made on a case by case basis, and may be affected by my mood that day, my access to the blog at the time the comment was made or other information that isn’t readily apparent.
