Disgraced Ex-Mayor to Run For Nazareth Borough Council

Nazareth's ex-Mayor, Carl Strye, was accepted into the ARD program in late September, following a brief hearing before Judge FP Kimberly McFadden. That's a special program for first offenders in which the slate is wiped clean after a period of probation,which in his case is 12 months. He had been charged with felony theft for skimming $8,000 from the Vig, one of the Nazareth area's many social clubs. An admitted thief should have no say in what goes on in a police department, so I was gratified when the District Attorney insisted that Strye resign. He also had to admit what he is - a thief.

Yesterday, Strye filed nomination petitions for Nazareth Borough Council, 3rd ward.

    Admitted thief, forced to resign from his position as Mayor, ARD participant; great qualifications for the crooked borough council of Nazareth. If the voters of Nazareth elect him, you know there is something in their water.

    The guy is a thief and a jerk, but I have no doubt the pea brains in Nazareth will elect him.

    Fortunately, I will be gone from that dysfunctional borough before he takes office. School district is solid, but other than that the place really has nothing to offer.

    He will win. Guilty or not he embodies the mindset of a majority in the Borough. You can do no wrong unless you get caught. Then simply admit it and you will be forgiven. The law seemed to agree with this as well considering he and stoudt both got ARD for committiing felonies.

    This assclown skimmed over 1 million dollars from the club ..ask about his new motor home, ask about how much his kids have to pay back for college, ask him about his race car trips all over the country .. this piece of shit should be in jail .. he should have had a giant T stamped on his forehead so everyone knows he's a no good, lying thief !!!!
