Bangor High School Honors Its Tech Students


Six Bangor Area High School students were honored by the school board last night for their participation in the Skills USA district championships in January. This included 450 students from all over the Lehigh Valley, with many of the contests taking place at Allentown's Ag Hall.  Bangor students who won awards are Casey Clark (Masonry, 1st); Robert Beers (Precision Machine Technology, 1st); Preston Compton (Collision Repair, 2d); Erik Tallaksen (Auto Manufacturing Tech, 3d); Julie Rocco (Cosmetology,3d); and Nick Roberts (IT, 3d). In addition, several students were honored for their participation in a recent Technology Student Ass'n (TSA) competition. Aron Furman and Jessica Plate, pictured above with Superintendent Frank DeFelice and Technology teacher, placed in a competition in which students are directed to make something with no advance notice.
