Opinions Online Temporarily Suspended

Opinions Online has been a regular Saturday feature run through Emailmeform. That is a site that hosts anonymous comments. I received no comments the past two weeks. I figured everyone was opinioned out as a result of the elections. But I learned on Saturday that the feature is no longer working. This is because Blogger recently converted from http to https. There is a fix, but it costs more than I am willing to pay. So Opinions Online is suspended until I find another host that is free and accepts anonymous comments. If you know of one, feel free to post a link in the comments.

  2. I'm sorry JoAnn but for many of us who will be applying for a new job at some point, anonymous posting is a must due to "social media background checks" that many companies do in increasing cases these days. Express an opinion that some HR grunt disagrees with and you are out. The best online presence is a LinkedIn profile and nothing else.

  3. Bernie,Tomorrow We will give a military burial to a man we admire. Mr. Calasso WW11 Battle of the Bulge,. Normandy invasion and crossed the Rhine. He survived all this . Incredible. His daugher in law is Donna Galasso who for many years .a NorCo employee at the District Court on South Side Easton. Her husband and son are both Marine veterans - it will be our Honor to give him this service . God bless him.

You own views are appreciated, especially if they differ from mine. But remember, commenting is a privilege, not a right. I will delete personal attacks or off-topic remarks at my discretion. Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics. My decisions on these matters are made on a case by case basis, and may be affected by my mood that day, my access to the blog at the time the comment was made or other information that isn’t readily apparent.
