The current version of the law requires that all children under 4 years of age are restrained in an approved child passenger restraint system, and children between 4 and 8 years of age are restrained in a booster seat. Beginning in August, the new law expands this by specifically requiring children under age 2 to ride rear-facing. There two types of car seats that can be used rear-facing: convertible car seats and infant-only car seats. For the first year, violators will get away with a warning.

Jeeze. just how in hell did the baby boomer and Gen-X'ers survive without all these safety regulations for car baby seats.
You'd think the graveyards were overflowing with dead babies from the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s and 1980s.....
Now some asshole criticizes a law that actually saves lives. Scary people.
How about Harrisburg grow some guts and pass a no cellphone/texting law while driving. I am tired of driving on 22 while the woman next to me is testing while resting her phone on the steering wheel or some guy is in an animated phone call while driving 65 mph. The problem is the cellular phone lobby owns Harrisburg pols.
All the laws in the world without enforcement are empty. Children often are seen in Allentown sitting in the front seat without any type of child safety chair.
"Children often are seen in Allentown"
You mean those urban ethnic people right? See the same thing up county and they are neither urban or "ethnic".
