NorCo Council Meetings Tonight Canceled

For the second time this year, a power outage has intruded on scheduled NorCo Council meetings. The first time, Council went ahead anyway, only to learn that many members of the public had been turned away. This time, council is erring on the side of caution, and the meetings scheduled for today will be conducted on the 13th.

We seem to have become a third world nation in which power outages are the norm. But we are paying first world power rates.

11 pm update: I have been reminded that Council met in January after a bomb scare, not a power outage, so I need to correct this post. I apologize for the factual error, but the fact is that the courthouse experiences power outages on an increasingly frequent basis.

  1. Maybe Geissinger threw the switch so he could go to the debate without flack.

  4. After sitting in the dark for 2 hours I was happy that we got to leave work early, but now that I hear that the council meeting was cancelled I'm sure this will delay our raise even further. The arbitrator handed down our sorry excuse for a "raise" a few weeks ago but the county has yet to implement it...pretty sure this will delay it evenmore further.

Maybe the descriptive yet no so descriptive 3rd party of the nue nue nue yet same old browne hole, with a new spin put to print with connections yet not doesn't want to be colludedly dilluded as the whole it has become seperatly working as one infection¿¡;) Just sat down to read what I redd after dinner,
This is exACTly why we need Morganelli acting as a AG for the brewne hole of the valley, impecably untaintable by those corruptable politically tainted moorons¿¡ Speaking of moorons just loved the circus twist of the mooronic gags positive restarunt that was busted open by the vice squad never to make it to print¿¡)$
Sorry bernie but the reel must be told in this tail of positives that the negatives far far outweigh in this triboro madeoff scheem¿¡

  8. I both love and hate that show. The acting and story-lines are superb, but it depresses me to see people who are so evil. I do belive Claire and Frank Underwood (FU) to be among the most despicable people in the universe as we know it.

  9. What happened to the scrubby generator in the courthouse that was supposed to be replaced? Another example of Brown and his minions asleep at the wheel.

  10. Oh, heck, we all have power outages with a real frequency never known in the past. Last week one day I was sitting at my computer minding my own business, reading Lehigh Valley Ramblings, when the lights and the screen both flickered. Then they did it again. Then the the whole thing went down, no lights, no computer, AND when I picked up the trusty old slimline AT&T phone next to the computer, I was astounded to know that the telephone landlines were out as well. Or was that something Service Electric has masterminded when we bought the package from them? Anyway, it happens every month or so. One day my husband was transferring photos to his computer, and they zapped us and he lost all his photos in that batch. Third world, indeed. When I was a girl in the '50s, and Ike was president, this stuff did not happen! Crazy Old Lady
