You own views are appreciated, especially if they differ from mine. But remember, commenting is a privilege, not a right. I will delete personal attacks or off-topic remarks at my discretion. Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics. My decisions on these matters are made on a case by case basis, and may be affected by my mood that day, my access to the blog at the time the comment was made or other information that isn’t readily apparent.
OUTSTANDING!
ReplyDeleteThat's a wonderful piece of creativity. It has value to Mr. Trump AND his opponents!
Here's what confuses people about Trump's appeal. His strategy is to shout "ENOUGH OF THIS NONSENSE!" Or, maybe "WE HAVE LOST CONTROL OF THIS NATION!"
I agree with those messages.
Bottom line is, we need DIFFERENT people in government. That might be a Democrat or a Republican. A Trump or a Sanders. A Sestak or someone else not already in office. The name and party does not matter.
The people serving us now in government have FAILED us!
I'm casting my vote for DIFFERENT!

Trump would fit well into the mad world of the GOT.His head would eventually be severed and his Kingdom lost. If he is elected president something similar would happen to him and us.
ReplyDeleteVery entertaining. Trump scores an Emmy! It's HUGE!
ReplyDeleteWhen trump is elected he will water board all fat bloggers. He gets my vote just for that.
ReplyDeleteLie to pollsters. It's very entertaining on election night!!!
ReplyDeleteI thought the video was hilarious. Trump? Not so much.
ReplyDeleteFor all intents and purposes, it's over. Trump vs. Hillary. Amazing the field winnowed so quickly. And an overwhelming majority of voters never got a chance to weigh in. National primary time?
ReplyDelete@9:45,
ReplyDeleteYou're probably right. If this is the best that the two respective political parties can muster, this nation will be in more trouble than it is now. Vote "None Of The Above".

ReplyDeleteThat's the point!
Those who manage the Democrat AND Republican parties have FAILED us. Special interest groups and deceptive media sources are calling all the shots.
Our people in office NOW have failed to protect our interests. They have "prostituted" themselves to remain in office and hopefully move up the ladder of power and privilege. We need to get this "breed" out of office!

P.S. - apply this theory to the Allentown situation.
Fred...there are some exceptions but your point about the political system failing us seems true to me. I'm unsure how much it simply attracts the worst kind of people or to what extent it quickly corrodes those who start out with good intentions. I imagine the temptations of power and authority have something to do with it. God help us.
DeleteYes, there are exceptions to all things.
ReplyDeleteI just don't think we have 2-3 more election cycles to regain a proper-functioning, and coequal legislative branch. We need to begin anew, as quickly and as thoroughly possible.
Remove not just some of the "mold," but MOST of it.
