Bethlehem Tp Comm'rs Meeting Canceled

From Bethlehem Tp Manager Melissa Shafer: Please be advised that the February 15, 2016 Board of Commissioners Meeting is cancelled tonight due to inclement weather. Everything on tonight’s agenda will be pushed to Monday, March 7, 2016.

We apologize for the inconvenience, but we need to err on the side of caution.

  2. That means the bill agenda items won't get paid for 3 more weeks. Why didn't they just postpone it for 1 day?

  3. Even postponements require sufficient notice to the public.

  4. 1130am, how much more notice could have been given?

My guess is if they'd cancelled over the weekend and the weather weren't bad, you'd be the first to complain about that too.

  5. Personally, I'm glad the meeting was canceled. No need to put people in harm's way, and notice went to the press, interested parties and is on the web page. I agree with erring on the side of caution.

  7. You disparage them as cowards while not identifying yourself? How brave you are!

  8. It was a prudent move to cancel, but why are they waiting until 3 weeks later? They could have rescheduled for next week.

Who is the pussy? The people looking put for the safety of the public, or the person calling them "pussies". Have you looked outside?

You own views are appreciated, especially if they differ from mine. But remember, commenting is a privilege, not a right. I will delete personal attacks or off-topic remarks at my discretion. Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics. My decisions on these matters are made on a case by case basis, and may be affected by my mood that day, my access to the blog at the time the comment was made or other information that isn’t readily apparent.
