You own views are appreciated, especially if they differ from mine. But remember, commenting is a privilege, not a right. I will delete personal attacks or off-topic remarks at my discretion. Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics. My decisions on these matters are made on a case by case basis, and may be affected by my mood that day, my access to the blog at the time the comment was made or other information that isn’t readily apparent.
Apparently Tricia was right about that crazy little town. She was maligned for nothing. Shameful.
ReplyDeleteYou forgot to mention newly elected Constable Mezzacappa.
ReplyDeleteEaston should annex and take over this dinky little town.
ReplyDeleteactually letting p-berg have it would be a better choice.
ReplyDeleteWhat's this about Constable?
ReplyDeleteAccording to Northampton County Election results, Tricia Mezzacappa received 10 votes out of 13 cast for Constable for West Easton. Apparently, she won the election. Who knew?
ReplyDeleteMezzacappa is the reason the Grosses went bonkers. They let her get to them. She won the constable race as a write-in, but will never be hired by a magistrate, so it is a meaningless victory. This post is NOT about her or her narcissism. It is about West Easton.

ReplyDeleteWe knew, because she posted a comment right here on this blog election night as a "rumor". She knew because she lobbied a couple of tramps to write-in her name. But nobody gives a damn, because as Bernie said, it has no effect. So she can enjoy her "victory" in her brain, and dream about driving around in her invisible car, with her invisible badge. LOL. You can't make this s*#t up!
"Mezzacappa is the reason the Grosses went bonkers. They let her get to them."
ReplyDeleteMezzacappa got to you too, Bernie, because she is a disgusting liar. Hence, your successful defamation lawsuit against her and your many, many articles about her bizarre conduct. She also got to former West Easton clerk Jill Garcia. Hence, Jill's harassment prosecution and conviction of Mezzacappa and Jill's move to Wilson Borough. She got to Sal Panto and the Easton police department. Hence, the non-renewal of the city's police services contract with West Easton. The list of the people she got to is a long one. The list surely includes your fine lawyer, Rick Orloski, whom she had the audacity to put forward as a reference on her concealed carry application. Instead of crawling back under a rock with the other vermin (where she belongs), Mezzacappa has joined forces with the new Council President Dan "Explosive Temper" DePaul and the new council members, especially Henry Nodoline. No doubt chaos and dysfunction are on the way. You are usually a good reporter, Bernie, but in this instance your bias in favor of Dees and against Kelly is obvious. Kelly's final budget as council president included a 2.5 mill tax cut. Why isn't that newsworthy? Mayor Gross was recognized in December for his 50 years of service to West Easton, and the community park was renamed in his honor. That wasn't worth a mention either? I read Kelly's letter to the residents and noticed that she used the word "we" a lot when reporting the accomplishments of the Borough Council, including a 2016 tax reduction and a new trash/recycling contract. In my opinion, notice of those two items alone were worthy of a mass mailing.
Looks like Karma finally found Kelly. She'll have plenty of time to think about how her soulless manipulating cost 3 people their jobs. Good riddance!
DeleteKelly, Myself and the others you mention did not let Mezzcappa get to them. We instead got to Mezzacappa. We pursued legal remedies and stood up for ourselves instead of hiding in the shadows, as you have done. You let Mezzacappa get to you. After losing open records requests in the Office of Open Recordm you pursued frivolous appeas to the courts of common pleas and then to the Commonwelath Court. She dominated your meetings with lengthy discussions about her, while business was being ignored. I noticed that at the two meetings I attended. You forgot that you were there to serve the public, not engage in a tit for tat with one of its citizens. I have avoided discussing you as much as possible, but I have no respect for people who lie to me, and you lied to me. When word fiorst broke that Mezzacapopa had filed a bogus application for her LTC, you feigned ignorance when I called you. But it later was determined that you provoked a Deputy Sherifff and a very good man to copy and provide that LTCF to you. From there it mysteriously appeared in my lawyer's hands. How did that happen? You are the one who made sure it happened. You ended up getting one Deouty charged with criominal conduct and are resposnsible for two other deputies being forced to resign. I find it amazing that you wouold even think of seeking re-election after that little stunt.
ReplyDeleteYour letter to the citizens of West Easton appears on Matt Dees' blog. It is certyainly an abuse of your office and the perversion of public tax dollars for private purposes. At taxpayer expense, you issued a letter that slams the new council while patting yourself on the back. You dare to tell these newly elected officials that you'll be watching. What you did was a disgrace, and you should be surcharged for the cost of that letter.
As for my individual bias, let me be very clear. I have a bias in favor of Tom Nodoline and you should have listened to him instead of pushing him around. I have a bias in favor of abyone who supports transparency and open government. You do not. For Christ sakes, you even require RTKs for meeting minutes, which should be available online on your styupid and defunct web page.
If West Easton is too small to govern itself, as I suspect it is, it is time to merge with a municipality that caqn govern. You are unable to do so, and the voters made that clear to you.
You let Mezzacappa get to you. Your father let Mezzacappa get to him. Because of her, you both ended up treating all citizens like garbage. And you have paid the price at the polling booth.
I realize that it's pointless to expect someone who can't tell me the truth to sign her name, but if you have any integrity left at all, sign your name to your next comment. You have become precisely the same kind of person that Mezzacappa already is.
@1:09PM Kelly, do you not have something else to do? And, um, your letter sent apparently on the taxpayer dole to selected residents, is total bullshit. Your father continuing to defend you, characterizing your letter as an exit interview, it total bullshit also. Exit interviews are in person. The last meeting you chaired was where your exit interview should have been. I hope they bill your ass for the cost.
ReplyDeleteAlso, nice work firing the office worker on your last day, leaving the town office in a lurch.
Goodbye! Don't let the door hit you on the way out. You screwed up a lot of things in West Easton. If the residents didn't know you were leaving, it is because they became so apathetic under your leadership they didn't give a darn.
That letter by Gross is shocking. It reflects a public official blinded by her own euphoric crapulence.
ReplyDeleteThat she would send what amounts to an election letter, on the public dime, is appalling. It's awesome that there is a Solicitor-elect on hand, to look into her misdeed.
If she got like 400 votes, sending this out might make more sense. Taxpayers sent her a clear message - get the hell out of the way. They must have chuckled when they received this screed.
"You forgot that you were there to serve the public, not engage in a tit for tat with one of its citizens."
ReplyDeleteWait a minute, wasn't that always Angle's MO?
Did Gross get rid of West Easton's old computer too? I would think someone should check it for historical documents and/or email that might have been deleted by "mistake."
ReplyDeletePlease refer to Tricia as Ms Constable Mezzacappa from now on. Thank you
ReplyDeleteI have deleted three comments, anonymously insinuating criminal behavior. Grow up.
ReplyDelete"Also, nice work firing the office worker on your last day, leaving the town office in a lurch."
ReplyDeleteI have determined this accusation is false. The office worker was a temp, and his time is up. He was not fired. But what Gross supposedly said to this guy, if true, is appalling.
"I have determined this accusation is false" I like to set the record straight, I just spoke to Dave over the weekend, I have know Dave for a long time and he said and I quote "that his temp company was called and was told that he was no longer needed after December 31". The apprentice "you're fired".
ReplyDeleteI just determined that independently. I misunderstood what i was told. You are correct.
ReplyDeleteI also deleted a comment indicating that two PSP cruisers were at Borough Hall today. That information, unfortunately, is also true. But I would not draw any conclusions just yet.
ReplyDeleteIt would appear Tricia Mezzacappa was unfairly maligned. Many of her concerns appear to have been with merit. May I say, God Bless Tricia!
ReplyDeleteYou said that yesterday. Mezzacappa is in a category all by herself, and perhaps the most ugly and dishonest person i know. She is the reason Gross became gross. Had she never been around, West Easton would never have incurred such high legal bills and Gross might have been able to recover fully from a fairly vicious physical assault on her. Mezzcappa went after a person who was still very fragile emotionally with numerous false allegations. Unfortunately, Gross let her get to her.
ReplyDeleteYou played a huge part in that, too. Pay your judgment.
