Ray Lahoud, a prominent immigration attorney and one of the Lehigh Valley's brightest lights, thinks it's time for the Democratic Party to put the heat on Fed Ed.
As a lifetime, young Lehigh Valley Democrat, I feel it is time that the local county parties take a stand here. The local party chairpersons must call for a party meeting, where a resolution demanding FedEd's resignation may be considered and put to a vote. The Lehigh Valley Democratic Party cannot sit silent as this corruption casts a shadow of shame on the entire party. In the meantime, Fed Ed is scheduled to give a "State of the City" address on Friday, January 29, 11:30 am at Allentown's Renaissance Hotel. A group of us is going.
* * *
Every week, it seems, one of his cronies is indicted, only to enter guilty pleas to those indictments days later. I understand that FedEd has not been charged. And, yes, if FedEd is charged, I understand that he is innocent until proven guilty. But, come on Democrats! Why is everyone sitting silent? You do not have to wait for a trial to stand up to him and tell him that he is destroying the party--that he is no longer an effective leader within the party. You do not have to wait to tell him that he is a detriment to the party. Where is the party leadership at the county and the state levels? What is everyone afraid of? What a joke.
* * *
By the way - he is "censoring" his Facebook Page. I commented on his posting and he deleted it. What a loser. The citizens of Allentown are not paying him to sit on Facebook all day. If he is going to remain mayor until he is dragged out of city hall by either the Feds or the citizens of Allentown, the least he could do is try to get some city work done.
This dirt bag has got the dirty on a whole lot of people and they know damn well he wouldn't hesitate to push them under the bus.
ReplyDeleteThis deserves national attention.
Will there be any free food?
ReplyDeleteI'm betting that Ed Pawlowski is guilty of so many crimes that he will give the Feds the names of everyone that he has "worked" with.
ReplyDeleteEveryone is talking about his wife Lisa and their children. How do you think Pawlowski will keep his wife out of jail? He will have to give some juicy names.
At this point in time the FBI is making "last-call". Koval did everything Pawlowski told her to do, we can see this now. How many other "Kovals" are reading this right now? Have you talked to the Feds?
I'm amazed that there are people involved with Pawlowski that have not spoken to the Feds yet. You should either be talking to the Feds or filing a whistleblower lawsuit against the City of Allentown. What are you waiting for?
So...how do we fix this water/sewer lease that Pawlowski and Strathearn got us into? I want to see the whole thing reversed. Who will pay for this?
12 years to be vested in the pension every day counts for him
ReplyDeleteAs a proud Republican and a Donald Trump supporter, I urge Mayor Pawlowski to fight these cries for his resignation.
ReplyDeleteAs our former President said "I am not a cook", this is all smoke and mirrors. There are investigations of public officials all the time by the FBI, and i'm sure Mayor Pawlowski welcomes these kinds of examinations of his administration.
Mayor Pawlowski has been elected THREE times by the voters of Allentown, and has substantial support among the minority and immigrant population of the city. He was a key figure in the elimination of the huge debt brought upon the city by Mayor Afflerbach, and he has helped move the city forward by his support of the NIZ
Also no charges have been brought against him by the FBI, and even if they will be, an indictment is not a conviction of breaking the law.
Ed is a family man and loves his wife, the First Lady of Allentown. Lisa Pawlowski proudly represents her husband and if Mayor Pawlowski has to resign, then she will lose her stature.
Also, there is the phrase we all know so well, "when you're in a hole, keep digging"
So stay in office Mayor Pawlowski. After all the longer you stay in office, the deeper and deeper you'll drag those Crooked Democrats on City Council down with you in the hole. Perhaps all the way to China.
Then we can have a return to sane, Republican government in the City of Allentown.
He's from Chicago, right. Chicago politic's, just like the Dictator in the White House and the horrible mayor in Chicago. The Country is a mess, just like Chicago, and now Allentown, lol. Whats in common, all Demorats. Most blue states are in the Red, most red states are in the black, just look it up. need i say more!
ReplyDelete@6:47 Pawlowski can just blame Allentown's money problems on Roy Afflerbach. After all, it was Afflerbach that paid off the city unions big time and left the city in a hole a mile deep financially.
ReplyDeleteAll of what Pawlowski did was to take the actions necessary to put Allentown on a sound financial footing. It took a strong hand and a strong mayor to do that and people who make those kinds of decisions usually also have enemies. Just look at Mayor Dayley. He knew how to take care of business and clean the streets after a blizzard.
So all this rigmarole is just pumped up, baseless charges by Pawlowski's enemies who are blaming him in order to cut a deal with the FBI and the federal prosecutors.
Given Pawlowski's background in Bible College, he could not be guilty of any of these allegations. Or even if he is, he did what he needed to do in good faith for the City and people of Allentown.
That's Ed's story and he's sticking to it. Period.
Stay the course good sir.
ReplyDeleteEd must stay.
ReplyDeleteWho else will speak for the little people?
Pa'Lousy is going to bring them all done with the ship, a la Kathleen "She Aint No Candy" Kane. Vindictive, scornful politicians.
ReplyDeleteId like to see this made into a tv drama, similar to what's to come out about the OJ trial. Playing Roy Afflerbach would be Sleepy Hollow's own, Ichabod Crane. Pa'Lousy could be played by any batman tv series Penguin actor. Denzel Washington playing Schlossburg. Feel free to jump in and help in this casting.
Lastly, that attorney in picture needs a different photo, BADLY.
'....The Lehigh Valley Democratic Party cannot sit silent as this corruption casts a shadow of shame on the entire party......"
ReplyDeleteLOL
The fish stinks from the head down. And it's not just Ed. Its all of his underlings and those on City Council that supported him.
This lawyer just wants to cut the cord on Ed to toss him off the Democratic Party bus before it all goes over the cliff along with Hillary Clinton.
Where were his concerns about Ed before the announcement of the FBI investigation last summer?
Such hypocrisy.
Afflerbach was just ANOTHER Democrat.
ReplyDeleteDrain the swamp!!!
ReplyDelete"Where were his concerns about Ed before the announcement of the FBI investigation last summer?"
ReplyDeleteI don't trust any politician that plays the party game. I came to the political scene with an open mind. I stumbled into Pawlowski's corruption.
Where were all of the concerned Democrats when Pawlowski was dealing with incinerators and water leases?
Where were the Democrat party boys? Playing with Marcel Groen.
Thanks again to the FBI for coming to Allentown.
As a younger man I sometimes wondered why a person would spend millions to be elected to a position that paid xxxxx. I thought ego perhaps. I went on my way, not giving it much more thought. Had I only had a criminal mind, We have allowed these little people to acquire power far beyond anything that is rational. Now we are in a position that we are asking these same people to change the system! They rule by the property tax system. Pay up or we'll have a public employee sell your house. They have the taxing authority to feed their minions. The public employee unions are where the power cord starts. The Afflerbach scam is not over.
ReplyDelete""Where were his concerns about Ed before the announcement of the FBI investigation last summer?"
ReplyDeleteDave, I am a Dem and have been complaining about Fed Ed, and very publicly, since 2007. I'm pretty sure Rich Fegley is a Dem, and he has been complaining about Fed Ed since about 2011. Michael Donovan is a Dem, and he has been complaining about Fed Ed for about the same period, and ran against him. Ray Lahoud is from Easton, not Allentown, but has never been shy about expressing hus views. He has spent the past few years defending immigrants and building his practice, and has shied away from politics. But he hates corruption, as you can see.
"... But, come on Democrats! Why is everyone sitting silent? ReplyDeleteDoes this hold the same for Hillary Clinton as well ?
She's got the FBI on her tail as well. Come to think of it, she's from Chicago also.
Birds of a feather, I suppose.
State of the City- Friday, January 29, 11:30 am at Allentown's Renaissance Hotel.
ReplyDeletePlease make sure to be there to ask Fed Ed questions especially after Wednesday nights vote of no confidence.
Can't wait to watch a political criminal like him squirm knowing his days of ripping off the tax payers and scamming the People are nearing an end.
I do not rejoice in blaming the democrat party for this issue , but where were the so called state dem brain trust been since this hack got elected. How about the outrage when the cities pension deal was blown to hell thanks to Afflerbach, his union hacks and democrat party. M
Nothing has changed with fed eds method of operation since day one. The only thing that changed is he and his political criminals got caught and are falling one by one.
Now since he is cornered the local and state Democrat brain trust are coming to life calling. This faux anger is nothing but symbolic in nature. It is like the GOP taking the 1000th vote to repeal obamacare. It "aint" going any where.
More political theater. This is what has most People in this country fired up. Both parties own this garbage and it is done specifically for the uninformed, and zero liability voters in both parties.
HAD ENOUGH AMERICA ?
10:57, Stick to what is going on locally. I do not want to get into the national stuff in this thread.
ReplyDeleteThe untouchables are here!!!!
ReplyDeleteI needed to actually visit his Facebook site; wow. Is he delusional!
ReplyDeleteI do note that he has 4,995 "friends" there. Maybe he can ask each for $50.00...that's almost $250,000 right there. Either fund another run for office or perhaps put toward legal fees.
VOR
Think of the stacked deck a non Democrat faces in seeking office in pa. All public union members and their families, all patronage positions and their families, all of the bullshit useless agencies and authorities and their families, the postal unions and their families, throw in low voter turnout and some undocumented voters. Welcome to pa. Now shut up, pay your taxes, they need a raise!

ReplyDeleteSclossberg's FB page is a real HOOT as well.
ReplyDeleteDo check it out.
Unbelievable.
I hope that the FBI takes the ferret into custody during the State of the city blather. I hope he resists .I hope he says "do you know who I am? " It will live forever on the net.
ReplyDeleteWe have all heard of sanctuary cities, How about sanctuary counties! Yes Lehigh county is listed as a sanctuary county! No wonder we have a third world situation!
ReplyDelete@11:53
ReplyDeleteI know plenty of union members who vote for republicans, myself being one of them. The real problem is parties in general. I vote for the person, not the letter that is behind their name. Hopefully one day, that letter will no longer exist.
All local elections should be nonpartisan, and the general election should be between the two top vote getters in the primary. Open primaries should be permitted and we need term limits.
ReplyDeleteYou just keep voting for the person not the party so when your person is elected they can vote the party line.
ReplyDeleteI really think the Delta Thermo debacle was a way to payout 500k in consulting fees. There was no way this deal was going forward but at least 500k was spent on this boondoggle scamola
ReplyDeleteWe have term limits, they're called elections.
ReplyDeleteYou're more comfortable with a hidden bureaucratic elite running things?
Level the playing field instead.
Soon Unions will be completely dead and gone, income inequality will be even worse, if that's possible, and that will be that.
ReplyDeleteYou can order boondoggle scamola at any of the niz restaurants. It comes with one large seving of taxpayer kindness, one serving of kickbacks and all you can eat pay to play. And please indulge in a glass of the MCALL koolaid with your meal. Enjoy!!!
ReplyDeleteHow much are tickets for the "State of the County?" Who will ticket sales benefit? Will people be turned away? This could be really great entertainment.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for the "State of the third ward" These pathetic wannabes are so well pathetic. From the time they get their foot in the publi door, they envision moving into the big leagues. We allow them to have spokes people, chief of staffs, ashtray carriers, and various other boot lickers on my dime. Most are not as delusional as our boy. Oh yeh I forgot the podium transportation and setup crew.
ReplyDeleteRead his bio; can hardly believe this sentence:
ReplyDelete"Prior to attending Lehigh University, Raymond Lahoud served as a United States Congressional Page, under then-Congressman Ray LaHood (R-IL)..."
Ray Lahoud worked for Ray LaHood?
Weird.
You and Fegley and Donovan and Molivinsky certainly had Fed Ed's number for several years. You painted a picture that has proven eerily accurate. The last time I checked, however, none of you is (or were during the crime spree) elected Democrats. They went along to go along, perhaps to catch on to Fed Ed's expected meteoric rise through the party. You were deemed a bottom-feeding blogger and they were deemed malcontents who'd strayed from the reservation. From Pawlowski donor, Hillary Clinton, to the state chairman, down to city council members who were lavished with campaign contributions for toeing the company line, the silence has been deafening.
ReplyDeleteThe Mayor has not been charged with any crimes. I guess some buzzards want more face time.
ReplyDelete2:53, tickets are $30.
ReplyDelete3:58, all of the people I've mentioned, and let me add there are more, gave their names. Unlike cowards like you, they put their names out there and took what often were merciless attacks while you hid under the safety of your rock.i've seen few Republicans speak out, and many more who encouraged Fed Ed. By the way, I was never deemed a bottom-feeding blogger. I AM a bottom-feeding blogger bc that is where the fort is.
ReplyDelete4:39, your use of the word "buzzards" is an admission that Fed Ed is a dead man walking. Why not tell him?
ReplyDelete3:47, that is no typo. Ray Lahoud did indeed work for Ray LaHood.
ReplyDeleteFed Ed needs to time his guilty plea to coincide with the end of Obama's term so Obama can provide a Presidential pardon. Then Fed Ed can get a job in the Rham Emanuel administration
ReplyDeleteDrain the swamp.
ReplyDeleteOut with the bad!!!!!!!!
