Inky: Trooper Who Led Frein Manhunt Demoted

The PSP trooper who led the manhunt for Eric Frein has been demoted, according to the Inky. It appears that the demotion is political, too.

Lt. Col. George Bivens was demoted and reassigned by Governor Wolf's new choice to head the state police, Tyree Blocker.

According to this news source, Bivens is quite popular and well-regarded by the PSP's front-line officers.

Wolf is not.

I understand that the PSP are making room for former Hellertown Police Officer, Jim Gregory upon his release from SCI Pittsburgh?

Barack Wolf strikes again. To spin it any other way, like Barack Wolf does on a daily basis , is a complete lie. Liar and Wolf seem to go together more and more his pathetic admin gets exposed.

"Alex Douglass, the trooper who survived Frein's ambush, said Friday that he was shocked by Bivens' demotion.

Douglass said he spoke with Bivens about the transfer, and believes it was a political decision."

My PSP friends, are questioning the Wolf move. They all agreed that this is nothing but politics.

Hopefully Wolf will assign a transgender or an illegal to the position. The state is losing an honorable man , thanks to Barrack Wolf and his continual political games.

This is how Wolf and many in his admin operate. This is all know how to do.

Alinsky and Goebbels would be so proud of the party and their super pac media puppets.

All of those positions are political. Bivens appointment to the positions was political. Stop crying!

Now this is news: Garret Strathearn, Allentown's former finance director, pleads guilty to rigging the city bidding process

Yep, Business as Usual from the "non-politician" who was elected Governor.

With a D in front of his name, how can you complain?

Republicans do the same thing. It's a political position. If you don't agree with it , don't accept the position in the first place.

"Republicans do the same thing."

I guess you're OK with this from a "different kind of governor".

Most can agree that Wolf is an incompetent failure, thus far. But that expensive investigation was run like a Keystone Kops comedy and finally brought to a conclusion by federal marshals. When PSP were handed Frein, they roughed him up out of frustration. I wouldn't have cared if they broke his neck. But it was indicative of their bush-league handling of the investigation under Bevins. Bevins likely spoke out against the dope Wolf originally hired to run PSP and had to withdraw. That's normally career-limiting.

I think the legislature ought pass a bill outlawing anyone named "Tom" from becoming governor.

I served in the first world with with my cat mandy who was a tracking cat and I offered to hunt down that dirty dog who shot the trooper and was told they didn't need my pussy tracking critter. You may think she was too old and that I am too old but I swear it is the truth. We also served in the second world war but we changed our names. Mandy didn't want the celebrity that comes with the tracking and neither did I want the notoriety that came with being Mandy's handler. Mandy just passed away recently. She was almost 100 years old. She once tracked a german mouse more than three miles in a blowing snowstorm. She caught the mouse and brought it back to us. We interrogated the mouse and found out the mouse was almost seventy when captured. What is the point of this story? It is so stupid (like the other comments on this blog) that no one would believe it so why comment at all? you're all full of shit and that we can smell from a mile away.

Rest in peace Mandy

I hope this isn't OT, but it is pertinent.

I've opened a dialog with Col. Blocker urging him to look into the many harassing communications from the Blog Mentor (I'm avoiding using his name in deference to Bernie's entirely justified preference) to the 60+ members of the "Enemies List" on the BM's hate blog.

If you are one of the members of this list, please drop a note to Col Blocker recounting your experiences. This is important because DA Martin cannot directly pursue charges against the BM due to the current litigation, and must refer such charges to the Attorney General's office. Of course, the AG's office is currently a shambles, so it is necessary to bypass the Allentown Police Department / Lehigh County DA, and attempt to pursue justice via the Pennsylvania State Police.

Again, if you have been harassed or threatened in any way by the Blog Mentor, please contact Col. Blocker at the Pennsylvanian State Police.

The BM's victims are organizing against his abuse, lies, half-truths, and innuendo. There is no reason to remain silent.

Don't forget that Biven's got caught up in the Kane email scandal. The news was released during the Frein manhunt but was eclipsed by the manhunt itself.

Horrors! Naughty emails? Off with his head.

The guy who led a clueless search--that cost millions per day to state taxpayers. PSP REFUSED to use mutual aid frequencies to talk to agencies assisting in the search. A cover-up involving one of the troopers in the search with Lackawanna County that caused Pike County to sue. And taking credit for the U.S. Marshals finding Frein where PSP never considered looking.

Can't imagine why the guy could get demoted.
