Fed Ed Lobbies City Council Against No-Confidence Vote

On Wednesday, Allentown City Council is expected to vote on a resolution seeking the resignation of Mayor Edwin "Fed Ed" Pawlowski. As of last week, this was supposed to be unanimous, but that may no longer be so. Reason? Since Thursday, Fed Ed has been wearin' out his burner phones with calls to City Council members, demanding that they vote No.

To those of you thinking that he would quietly resign and go away, think again. He is in complete denial. He's telling them he's done nothing wrong. I guess the four guilty please relating specifically to him are fiction. He may also be making promises or threats.

He'll remain in denial until he's no longer able to pay for his Washington lawyers with his campaign funds. But by then, it might be too late for him to watch at least one of his two children grow up.

  1. Schlossberg & Schweyer working the phones for him too?

  2. Four people who have fallen have implicated him. I suppose this means he think they've done nothing wrong too. Mrs. Sandusky still believes her husband did nothing wrong. Dick Nixon? Did nothing wrong.

  3. this disgusting low life dirt bag democrat criminal from the Chicago political machine and those who used his financial support in city council should all be in jail. this guy still thinks he is innocent? or does he think he can cut a deal with the feds ?
in no way shape or form should he be permitted to make any decisions that involve the city until he is cleared. I cant wait until city council starts getting picked off one by one by the feds as well. People who care have had it with this party and this admin. the only problem,...more people in our city could careless about this issue and will vote the same way over and over and over again , expecting a different out come... insane...
cant wait to see fed ed hand out more citizenship awards with the chief of police to good kids in the community. that routine made me sick. But then again, fed ed owns the school board and school district.
tax payers will come to a breaking point with this party and this admin soon.

  4. It's absolutely revolting to me that he continues to maintain complete innocence. Someone should tell him that it just makes him seem like MORE of an idiot. Re-edit the pic Bernie and give him an Dunce Hat.

Early on, I gave him "some" benefit of the doubt... I said lets see how things play out, thinking that Fleck might be the only one to turn. Had it been his word against Ed, I would toss a coin to figure out who was lying because well... you've met them both, right?

After Ramzi, I knew the best was yet to come, He was small fries but the feds knew what they were doing and sent a loud message that they had enough information to make even the smallest of rodents scurry...

    Signed... nauseated in Allentown

  5. No doubt some of those collaborators will vote no.

It should be unanimous but it won't be.

Oh well. They are all going down with the ship regardless. Its just a matter of going down dignified - or not.

  6. I'm sure Ed has plenty of dirt on those who supported him over the years.

He must be reminding those on City Council that voted for his initiatives over the years that if he goes down, the entire ship goes down with him, and there are no lifeboats on the SS Pawlowski.

  7. "Allentown Councilman Julio Guridy said the mayor contacted him about the vote and told him he did not do anything wrong."

I can never understand a thing that Julio says so I'm not sure if his statement is correct above either as quoted on wfmz.

    1. This harkens to the days of "it depends upon what your definition of is, is". Of course he didn't do anything "wrong". I think I have a great singing voice when in fact I cannot hold a tune. Yet I can tell you that I firmly believe I can sing which doesn't amount to a hill of beans.

Enough already. When will the proverbial boom be lowered....

Still LOVE the Fed Ed photo. Priceless art right there.

  8. B.O., the picture is great. However, every king has his "court," which typically includes a jester, Schlossturd!! So, if you will, I think the picture needs some "Ed"itting.

  9. I am not going to include someone who has not been indicted or implicated. That's unfair.

  10. B. O. When do you think the Feds will indict him. Since it doesn't look like he is going to cut a deal?

  16. when i began looking into Allentown i never imagined it would be this way. How can I even show surprise that the town cant keep a police chief and has dozens of lawsuits, could sit by and let this insult to its people continue is beyond me. I truely hope Justice is something that soon gets adopted by those in charge. Im sure as hell not holding my breathe though

Gee, golly. Maybe that is why Bernie wrote:
"On Wednesday, Allentown City Council is expected to vote on a resolution seeking the resignation of Mayor Edwin "Fed Ed" Pawlowski."

Now, I'm no brain scientist or rocket surgeon, but why would council "seek" resignation if they could fire him?
