Ironically, this is the same law firm that issued a bogus report claiming that just about everyone there has a conflict of interest. It was complete horseshit, and that bad legal advice alone should be reason to reject this outfit.
Well, Troutman is blowin' oil over my story so bad that someone should throw him on a lift and find out where he's leaking. He fired off this angry missive yesterday to all the little governors.

The Executive Committee and staff were the only individuals who received the information discussed in the article. In addition the article is inaccurate at best as the evaluation and motion to be moved forward by the executive committee.
It was very inappropriate and embarrassing for a member of the executive committee, staff or board member who attended the meeting to leak confidential bid information to a “Blogger”. The article is clearly an inaccurate assessment of the process and motion. Not to mention it appears to be an attack on our executive director and the competence of all of us around the table. All actions we take are subject to right to know and there is a process for interested parties to obtain that information. Therefore I can only surmise that this release of misinformation was malicious in nature.
This is damaging as well as embarrassing for all of us.

I am not pointing fingers at anyone listed above but raising a concern that we need to deal with. As we move forward and continue to negotiate with vendors, airlines etc to make land deals or purchase services, confidentiality is paramount and lack of can ruin deals , create liability and embarrass individuals and the authority.
Let’s discuss this tomorrow and how we want to deal with it from a policy or whatever perspective.

Love to see this outfit's priorities. They can't rub two nickels together and are worried about the unwashed masses sounding off during a meeting. But that pales in comparison to the bottom-feeding "Blogger." I could see him holding his nose as he pens the word.
He does have a point. My story really is an attack on the Executive Director and the competence of those who are idiotic enough to conduct a public meeting at a private country club during a fiscal crisis. But I'll differ with him on one major point. The story is also accurate, and he knows it's accurate, which is why his nose is so out of joint.
Looks like he now wants to start an investigation to determine who the traitor is who leaked this story to me. Maybe he should hire that law firm again..
I think I'll drop in on the bluebloods today, although morning meetings and I don't mix well. Maybe Marc and I can get in a quick none holes during their so-called retreat.

Can the public even get into that place without a tuxedo? Ans you;d also do well to think about an Exec Director who is trying to steer the Board to hire his wife.
ReplyDeleteAs for the source of my leak, you are just as screwed up in your accusation here as bangor was when someone suggested Ron Angle leaked me the audit. At the time i published the audit, Ron did not even have a copy and did not get it until the next day. He actually found out about the audit from me.
In this matter, you blamed Dean. You put two and two together and came up with five. When I first found out about this, I called Dean, who at that time was unaware that the Board was even meeting at a country club. He did not supply me with the rating.
I have been blogging since 2006 and have numerous sources. Dean is not my source for this story.
Sounds like a witch hunt for a whistle-blower. That might be illegal.

It definitely reads as though good ol' Marc Troutman is gearing up for an internal investigation and retaliation aimed at whomever leaked his ratings sheet, along with the fact that they are meeting at a swanky country club. He had better be very careful, although I''m sure Everett's wife will advise that witch hunts are OK. After all, the firm at which she is "of counsel" already orchestrated one.

Do they have anyone on this board who has any aviation industry experience besides riding on a private jet a couple times? Even someone with a pilot's license? I think they had one private pilot a few years ago but they likely phased him out for not supporting a sale of Braden.
Public comment bothers him? Looking at the board minutes, if they get one person giving a 5 sentence statement, that's a busy public comment day.
FYI Bernie, if you go to the meeting, Saucon prohibits wearing jeans and requires a collared shirt in pretty much all areas of the property. I can imagine Troutman trying to have you thrown out of the meeting on a technicality like this.

God forbid the public would find out. The secrecy involved here is unbelievable if this is a public entity holding a public meeting. I don't even know how to get to the weyhill cottage!
ReplyDeleteActually, there was no buffet or omelette, but a lot of goodies were laid out. Pastries bagels, urns of coffee and juices and a waitress to keep everyone happy. I linked to where you can find minutes and agendas in yesterday's story. Finding the cottage was no easy feat.
ReplyDeleteSuch an isolated spot for a public meeting! Are they claiming this was a retreat? If not there is no reason why the meeting could not be held at their usual venue. Also, was the cottage handicapped accessible?

ReplyDeleteIt was definitely a public meeting, followed by a "retrat." It was entirely improper to hist a public meeting at the end of a private road of a private country club known for a dress code tht I ignored.
ReplyDeleteJust another example of the waste the LNAA doesn't see as such. I'm waiting for this top heavy ship to tip right over and sink. There is no leadership there and no hope for it. They all think they are above the law and flaunt it in public. Retreat? Why the hell do you need a day retreat? What do you work so hard at? Hiring incompetence on the top floor and rewarding it daily is not hard work. Almost all those offices facing the airfield need to have the occupants voted off the island. I say the same thing for those monthly visitors to that room with the big nicely polished table. The whole place stinks to high heaven. I really do feel for most of the TRUE employees. The ones on the front lines not sitting in a retreat or breakfast or a luncheon. The ones who really make that place function. Those third floorers don't get it. They preach it but don't practice it. Let's hire some more admin staff to do the jobs some others don't do and are protected. Take a look at the ratio of third floorers to real world workers at this place. How many social networking people do you need? How many accounting people? How many property people? How many special project people? How many directors doing very little directing but lots of bullying? How many managers who can't manage? Just keep piling those containers on folks. You have more now then before the great culling of a couple of years ago. This jewel of the Lehigh Valley will never live to its true potential with this group of leaders. Poor decision after poor decision that they spin into a good decision amongst themselves is what they are all about.

Too much politics on this board and a good old buddy relationship with the LVEDC and Lehigh valley partnership. Time to clean house and break up the old gang of wannabes over there! Amen.
