Nazareth Pool Pipe Cracked, Has Leaked 70,000 Gallons

Nazareth's new $2.3 million pool, which is scheduled to open amid fireworks sometime in May, has a crack in an underground return pipe that has resulted in the loss of 70,000 gallons of water. Though it's under warranty and the repairs are supposed to cost nothing, the opening of the pool may be delayed.

Updated 1:08 pm: I have clarified this post to point out that it is actually a pipe underground, and not the pool itself, that has cracked.

  3. How much would you pay for a pool that doesn't crack?

  4. Contrary to popular rumor, I did not fall in there.

  5. This a genuine "dog bites man" story. Taking a leak in a pool is not news. A pool taking a leak, however, is.

  6. Does purposely doing a cannonball qualify as "fall in"?

  7. Any truth to the rumor they tried to patch the leak with one of those powerfully adhesive "FT" stickers? Or that the water disappeared when Cupcake finally sucked it up?

  8. The Sticker Gang might try to patchj it up tonight.

  11. I heard Gregory's crack has become a little larger?

  12. Jim Gregory will make appearances at some public pools this summer. He will be showing off his new jacked muscular body. The Mediterranean manslab with his smoky complexion and bedroom eyes will make women swoon and men green with jealousy.

  13. Who is the person who keeps referring to Jim Gregory as a "manslab" all over your blog? Not even a comment on his looks, dude may be handsome. But, that adjective just sounds gross for the most part.

  14. I have no idea how he came up. Maybe he'll be moving here.

  15. Bernie, I suspect you may have been wading in the pool and let loose a submariner blast that caused the crack. A fissure from a fissure!

You have been trying to sell this same line of bull crap for years, and nobody is buying it. Don't you have anything useful to do? It's pathetic.

We're supposed to believe there are a line of women who will be waiting when he is released from State Prison, and the men will all be jealous of this senior citizen with no assets and no job?

  17. Jim's crack is all dried up so he goes facial 3 times per day.

  18. 2:47 has a man crush on the manslab. Good news is that Greggy has learned in prison to appreciate advances by male admirers. He is comfortable being a slab of meat in a browich.

  19. The pool is not cracked. A return pipe underground cracked during this winters extreme freeze thaw conditions. The contractor did not use enough glue on the joints.

  20. 2.3 million for a pool, but the PA State Police are still covering gaps because they don't have enough patrolmen. Its all ok they have two Chiefs to handle everything. What a mess, and a laughing joke of a municipality.

  21. Don't hate the Jimmy because you can't be the Jimmy.

The Mediterranean manslab is all man!

  22. This is why you pressure test the pipes BEFORE you backfill a pool. Lowest bidder strikes again

  23. It didn't happen on it's own. Deputy Dogg was digging for his bones. This was discovered when checking out the pipe. One of the workers stepped in Dogg shit .chief said send it to the FBI. Oh shit . Deputy Dogg is in trouble.

  24. Greggy's been back-filled so many times, his crack will never seal again. He'll need relaxed ass jeans when he goes back to wearing street clothes.

Nobody is jealous of Greggy. Nobody.

  25. Bernie you have to do a post on the front page headline expose on Brown's "end run on administrators raises" by Tom Shortell of the MC. Brown and Allen are crooks deep in the pockets of taxpayers. They have blatent disregard for county policies. Brown thinks county government is his own private business where he can reward cronies with pay raises whenever he feels like it. Despicable!

  26. Look for something Monday. Allen's increase is actually 19%, if you count both raises.

  27. Big Deal! Stoffa gave his pal at least that much after one year. If he can do it so can Brown.

  29. Gregory has a parole hearing soon, word on the street is he has been working as a porter, leading bible study and mentoring younger prisoners all of which should be factor favorably towards their decision.

Trust and believe he will be speaking at the first possible courtesy of the floor where no quarter shall be given, he already holds the most important position in government; citizen.

  30. Has he asked any of them to track down his ex, like he did before? If you're right, and you do lie about everything, he'll be getting out just as you're going in.

  32. 1;19 anonymous, this is John Stoffa. I wish you would say who you are but in many ways I could care less. I never gave any one a 19 per cent raise so please stop spreading lies. The Personnel Policies were very clear on this which I followed to the letter.

The younger prisoners - which is the vast majority - most people are smart enough to not become criminals in their 60's, are enjoying the mentoring Jim is giving them one on one in the dark corner of the yard. And the letters he sent to you and you published will work against him. Doh!

Trust and believe he will be speaking at the first possible courtesy of the floor where no quarter shall be given, he already holds the most important position in government; citizen.

He's holding the position of bent over a steel boxspring, and the state is overseeing the administration of his punishment. Who cares about him or what he has to say - he's a dust mite.
