Alan Fowler, a former supervisor in administrative services at Northampton County, passed away last night. He was first brought on board by Executive Gerald Seyfred, but was demoted by Executive Bill Brackbill. He sued, and when Glenn Reibman was elected Executive, was restored to his old tile. He oversaw telecommunications, printing and mail distribution.
He made sure the DA had envelopes.
Fowler also served for a number of years on the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission.
He and his family lived in Saylorsburg.

Alan struggled with a serious illness and managed to rebound more times than most. You had to admire his resilience and courage. God bless him and his family.

ReplyDeleteEntirely fair and he would have endorsed the remark. Brown chose to allow that office to go unfilled, and it resulted in no envelopes for the DA. The truth hurts.

R.I.P. Alan Fowler, when I worked at NCP, he was always respectful and always got things done on time. My prayers and Sympathies go out to his family
ReplyDeleteAlan gave me the break that I needed, he hired me for the print shop. And yes, his battle with his health inspired me also. I will be forever thankful to the man that was first a great boss to work for and became a very good friend. My thoughts and prays are with his wife and family. he will be truly missed.

ReplyDeleteI wonder why there was no obit or funeral for Alan. He was also a great drummer. Does anyone know why this wasn't in the obits? My wife worked with Alan for many years and knew of his illness, but we had no idea he passed away. Why the mystery? Thanx for any info.

ReplyDeleteAlan's wife Donna has been very ill herself and was completely alone the entire week after he passed - last week she fell and broke her arm and laid there 15 hours before I found her so things have been chaotic. I assisted her last week and an obit should be coming soon - I know there is one in Bucks County today. No mystery. Alan was a true treasure of a person and above all had a good sense of humor and am certain he is chuckling at the envelope comment lol! May be rest in beautiful peace - he struggled so......
