You own views are appreciated, especially if they differ from mine. But remember, commenting is a privilege, not a right. I will delete personal attacks or off-topic remarks at my discretion. Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics. My decisions on these matters are made on a case by case basis, and may be affected by my mood that day, my access to the blog at the time the comment was made or other information that isn’t readily apparent.
Rumor is Cathy Allen has been working on updating the prescription plan since July. LOL I'm sure Brownie will get her right on this, if he can get a hold of her in the county car with the Brownaphone. CAR 51, WHERE ARE YOU?
ReplyDeleteDon't get sick as it's basically a 4 day weekend
ReplyDeleteThe county's open tomorrow, so I'm sure Allen will be there bright & early to rectify this. This could be disastorist if it prevents anyone from getting a necessary medication refilled. Couldn't be worse timing either; many have stretched our last refill as long as we possibly could so that we could use our replenished flexible spending accounts as of January 1 to get a refill. To be told today that you can't get a med that you've already missed a couple of doses of immediately must suck. And personally I spent last night at my parent's house, slept in a drafty room and then woke up to 2 germy 8 year olds all up in my face and general business. I love those girls, but damn if they didn't touch every piece of make-up I had in my bag. And I'm pretty sure one of them used my lip gloss when I wasn't looking. Less than 24 hours later and my nose is already stuffy and my eyes are sore. If I am sick, the quicker I can get some anti-biotics in me the better. But, it'll suck if I can't get the prescription that may be given to me by my doctor filled because I just paid my mortgage and don't have enough cash on hand to come out of pocket and be reimbursed in a few weeks. And we don't get paid until next week, so if this prescription plan issue isn't fixed really soon it'll be a week before my pathetic checking account sees a deposit and I can afford to get some relief.
ReplyDeleteOn a related note, anyone know why otc cold & flu meds keep me up all night? I just want to sleep!
I hope you don't get sick and feel better very soon. It is so sad that this county employee along with many other county employees are unable to afford everyday expenses and are living pay check to pay check. There is something very wrong here. If assholes like 226 think that while working hard at a full time job and not being able to afford medicine is OK then fuck you. Not in a million years would I have ever thought that working for the county would cause a person to be inpoverished. But under browns rule.. its here. Sad. These are very sad days for this county. God bless us and look over us as our employer attempts to bankrupt us as we serve this county's residents. Just another show of the utter incompetence on brown and his buddies.
DeleteGood luck with your cold. Mucinex works for me.
ReplyDeleteWhaaaa!
ReplyDeleteCry us a river. You government types are unreal. Welcome to the real world.
@2:26 Actually sounds like your a bit jealous that you couldn't fit in. In my case I'm smiling ear to ear, and not crying at all.
ReplyDelete20 years in the Army - check #1
20 years for the count - check #2
Couple more years in private sector with good 401 - check #3
Social Security - check #4
Damn life is good
Then why cry about a $10 dollar generic antibiotic. You guys are so dumb you are actually funny. Your bullshit is the best.
ReplyDelete3:01 is why government workers are hated by taxpayers. He should identify himself and help others who need it over the four-day weekend. God bless.
ReplyDeleteSo the prescription plan has a wrinkle. This happens in the private sector too. If you need your script filled, pay for it and get reimbursed later. Nobody working at the County should be that poor to not afford up front a few pills. Cry me a river as one states previously.
ReplyDeleteYou are dead on 6:10. Nobody working full time for CTY government should be that poor....but many of us are. 4 years with no substantial pay increase + rising costs of living, food, gas, heathcare and yeah, boom, here we are. If you don't understand it, maybe you should do a study of county economics. But I'm sure you are unable to do so due to lack of intelligence and common sense. Too bad for you. Go back to community college to get a degree dumbass.
Delete@3:01 am
ReplyDelete"20 years for the count"
Dracula? or Monte Cristo?
@6:10am
ReplyDelete"Nobody working at the County should be that pooor to not afford up front a few pills." Do you even know how much we get paid. Trust me it is not alot. Most of us net around $17000.00/year, could you live off of that? With rent prices that are outrageous for a small place, food prices going up, or affording a mortgage, our out of pocket expenses going up. So let's give an example here if we bring home $17,000.00/year roughly and our family out of pocket expenses are say $5000.00. That leaves us with a take home of $12000.00/year. Can you say poverty level. I am just putting it out there for all you people that think us county workers that serve the people of this county that we are all woe is me. Woe is me when you get completely screwed by the new administration in every aspect of our jobs and doesn't even have enough balls to introduce himself to any of the offices. Do you think you are better then us? I love how people think that ALL county workers make so much money well reality check we don't.
@9:34, the same haters are here every day. probably the first one's to take a government handout. This is all they are good at- spewing crap from their mouths.
ReplyDelete9:57. Did someone not love you enough she you were a child? Get a clue.
Delete"Nobody working at the County should be that poor to not afford up front a few pills."
ReplyDeleteYou're right; nobody should be, but unfortunately, many are. My county paychecks have deceased steadily over the past few years. Financial obligations were made under the assumption that although I wouldn't be getting a raise for a while, my paycheck would at least remain stagnant. Such has not been the case. And to make matters worse, my husband (who works in the private sector) is in an industry where compensation is largely dependant upon the kindness of a stranger (in his case the CEO of the company he works for), a stranger whose primary job is to figure out how little money people will work for. Well guess what, most people think they are special snowflakes and would rather work for a paltry amount with the possibility of earning riches than a sub-standard amount that keeps them running on the wheel. I get it. My family gets it. But we all must sacrifice during times of trouble. Here's the thing though, the economy is on an up-swing. Stocks and bonds have rebounded. The up-scale real estate market is on the rise and more and more luxury goods are being sold. Now, I don't know about your CEO, but both my husband's and mine (Brown) are making sure they and their friends get seconds while average citizens are misled to believe that county employees are greedy and self-serving. County employees are not lobbying for a massive tax increase. Most of us are taxpayers ourselves! Let's force the big guys to stop making backdoor deals and make them responsible for compensating the worker bees at a rate that is fair and livable, even if it means the puppet-master pays for her own gyro from here on out.
One of the persons putting down courthouse workers is Henry SchaaDT. Another is Tricia Mezzacappa. They post anonymously so they can deny posting or blame me for their hate. Mezzacappa tried to stick taxpayers with the cost of her litigation. She has yet to pay a dime towards the $300 fine imposed on her by Judge Dally. And according to her IFP, she was applying for welfare. According to one of her emails to me, she was waiting on unemployment.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad my tax dollars pay for her to sit on her ass and spew hate and lies instead of going out and looking for a job. The term government sponge comes to mind.......
ReplyDeleteBoy for someone who doesn't contribute a dime to the tax base she has an awful lot to say. Get some skin in the game and then maybe we'll take you seriously. I'm glad I'm paying for the meds you are supposed to be taking as well as your internet service so you can blog!
ReplyDeleteTricia's To-Do List for 2015:
ReplyDelete1) Take meds that are paid for by the government
2) Scam unemployment
3) Scam the welfare system
4) Hide from the sheriffs deputies
5) Hide from debt collectors
6) Harass people who actually have a job
7) Be an anchor on my community and society
8) Watch reruns of Honey Boo Boo
ReplyDelete1) Agreed.
2) Agreed.
3) Agreed.
4) Agreed.
5) Agreed.
6) Agreed.
7) Agreed.
8) Shut your mouth. There is no excuse for the trainwreck that is Mama June.
Wait are you telling me the tea party republican who detests the government is reliant on the government that she hates for a check???? Say it ain't so.......
ReplyDeletethe question is why doesn't it work????
ReplyDelete"It" doesn't work because if "it" worked it would ruin "it's"chances of getting social security disability for her mental illness. Why work when she can collect a government check and never leave her house.
ReplyDeleteWow the stalking and harassment of that young woman form west Easton is over the top. Shameful.
ReplyDeleteWhat"s the difference between blogging county goldbricks and unemployable Mezzakooky? Not much, apparently.
ReplyDeleteAt least "blogging county goldbricks" pay taxes and contribute to the tax base. Please update your terminology, it's called cyber slacking...........the term goldbricking went out in the 80's and so did your hairstyle.
ReplyDeleteAll you county employees do is complain. We all know you have to have an in to get a cushy county job. Stop pissing an moaning. Leaver of you want and get a job in the real world.
ReplyDelete"Leaver of you want.."
ReplyDeleteHave a few more drinks - the night is young, sweetie. You've no clue what a job even is.
If you don't like it, quit. That is being told to local government workers all over the Valley. With unemployment at 5.2%, many are taking the POLITICOS up on their offer and quitting. What is interesting is that the public still demands the services of the skilled and experience worker who quits and where are the POLITICOS? No where to be found and telling the valued workers that they matter and hang in there. Sounds like the old adage that... I will piss down your back and tell you its raining. I do hope that Brownie and his minions continue spewing the Tea Bag mantra and the government becomes a laughing stock of providing services. Its going to get real good when the Judges staff's start turning over or become so disenchanted with their jobs that schedules, conferences, trials get screwed up all because Brownie is nickle and diming the staffs! Go figure.
ReplyDeleteCounty residents are your employer douchebag. We're broke and we're tired of your complaining. You wouldn't last ten minutes in the real world. We - your bosses - say shut up and stop whining.
ReplyDelete7:43 your right, a corrections officer who deals with the worst of the worst and gets shit and piss thrown at him/her def wouldn't last 10 minutes in the "real world". You aren't the boss of a county employee just because you are a resident of the county or better yet a tax paying resident of the county. Your tax dollars are paying for a service not putting you in charge of those providing the numerous services the county provides. Why don't you take a walk down to 666 Walnut Street in Easton and tell the officers or lieutenants leaving the building to shut up and stop whining, but something tells me you don't have the balls!!!
ReplyDeleteOh and shift change is at 6:00am, 2:00pm, and 10:00pm if your feeling frisky!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering why my pharmacy wanted my new prescription cards. It's one thing to increase the cost of a copay quite another to take away our prescription plan entirely. John Brown is the worst county executive ever! Also I work proudly for the 911 center and I help save lives. I'm proud of our Deputy Sheriffs for protecting and serving, anyone that works in the prison for working in such a negative environment and frankly anyone that does a service for making local government run smoothly from clerical to custodians to maintenance. As a tax payer I thank you. What have you in the private sector done lately to serve your fellow man? Must be cozy up on that high horse hocking loogies all over the ungrateful county employees. Walk a mile in our shoes before you run your mouth.
ReplyDeleteNCP is a sieve; not a prison.
ReplyDeletePublic employees threatening the public. they wonder why they are despised. They are clueless. Get a job!
ReplyDeleteThe corrections officer made no threat. He asked tyou to take responsibility. You could do that by identifying yourself here, although we all know you are Tricia Mezzacappa, or by visiting him at the jail and telling this guy to his face what you post here anonymously. I have a feeling you'll be seeing those corrections officers soon, but not by your choice.
ReplyDeleteWegmans and Walmart offer antibiotics for a very affordable cost. I am a County employee also. I don't make $17k but I also dont make $35kand would not be able to pay out of pocket for a prescription.
ReplyDeleteI went to CVS on New Years Day to fill a prescription and was told my perscription plan doesn't exist. If you consider this whining then I'm guilty as charged but I consider it a pattern of ineptitude by this current administration.
ReplyDelete4:05 it's almost not worth addressing you because your statement is laughable but how are you going to refer to someone as a public employee in one breath and then tell them to get a job in the next breath. Don't be afraid to put a little thought into your comment before you post it. Shouldn't you be on lehigh valley live creating another fake username????
ReplyDeleteor by visiting him at the jail and telling this guy to his face what you post here anonymously. I have a feeling you'll be seeing those corrections officers
ReplyDelete... and not by her choice.
ReplyDelete"or by visiting him at the jail and telling this guy to his face what you post here anonymously"
ReplyDeleteThat is exactly what you called that thuggish behavior during the dump Gracedale scandal. Right here on this blog. Amazing how things change like the weather.
That comment was indeed a veiled threat by a public employee made to one of their employers. If they are unhappy leave. The line for the job sis a mile long and they know it. People need to have an "in" to get one of those government jobs and always have had to. Doesn't one of Stoffa's old secretaries who was exempt now work over there, hmmm?? Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
John Q Public, taxpayer.
She also has failed to pay a dime for her fine and costs in the harassment case that went to the Superior Court. I intend to bring this matter to the attention of the Clerk of the Criminal Division so that Mezzacappa pays what she owes. She can take a few less trips to the firing range.
ReplyDelete"That comment was indeed a veiled threat by a public employee made to one of their employers."
ReplyDeleteAs someone who threatened to drag Kelly Gross to the rivr and drown her, and who threatened to put hollow point ullets through my skull, you know all about threats. And like most bullies who like to threaten others, you are quick to accuse others of precisely what you do. The CO made no threat, veiled or otherwise. But your grasp on reality is tenuous at best.
there may be a line for the job, but since brownie hasn't hired even one corrections officer since his tenure, your point is pointless. schmuck.
ReplyDeletegood ole boy brownie did hire a corrections director at 100k/ yr to start though, that fiscal conservative he is...
ReplyDeleteWow and they paid consultants to come up with this plan? Did they fail to realize their was perscription coverage? Release the emails. Lets see what you were really discussing.
ReplyDeleteApparently this problem went through the weekend. The controller even sent an e-mail because he was impacted and told folks how to be reimbursed if they had this issue.
ReplyDeleteEven if this is not the administrations fault the fact that they knew about this Thursday, worked Friday and let employees not have prescription drug coverage through a weekend is bad!
Brown is an absolute total Fail!
