Stockertown Stinks!

From Trevor Gehret: What's that God awful smell in Stockertown? I thought it was O'Hare again, but at last night's Stockertown Borough Council meeting, learned it is something else. "We've got a skunk and opossum problem," council member Carl Zito stated. "I've got cameras all over the street monitoring these pests and when I catch one I am going to bring it to you." Zito said to me. His fellow councilmen unanimously agreed.

From Zito's remarks I don't think he was joking about this over population of skunks and opossums.

Things could be worse. They could have skunk smelling stickers being plastered around their Borough.

After a few congratulatory hand shakes for something or another, council adjourned and bid us all adieu. Time for Pepé Le Pew.

Blogger's Note: My thanks to Trevor Gehret for visiting Stockertown.

  2. Skunks are on the roam because grub populations are on the rise this year. Skunks make swirling holes in lawns to dig up grubs. They also poop about the same size as a medium size dog. Grub damage is evident by bare spots on lawns. There are lots of bare spots this year. Get rid of the grubs and the skunks will leave.

  5. It is sweet that Bernie has a little miscreant in training. I am sure he will be as respected a source of information as O'Hare.
