You own views are appreciated, especially if they differ from mine. But remember, commenting is a privilege, not a right. I will delete personal attacks or off-topic remarks at my discretion. Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics. My decisions on these matters are made on a case by case basis, and may be affected by my mood that day, my access to the blog at the time the comment was made or other information that isn’t readily apparent.

ReplyDeleteWhat I am doing is shining a very public spotlight on a borough's complete failure to secure a dime for its citizens at a time when a two mill tax hike is being considered. In a democratic society, the people have a right to know what their government is doing right ... And wrong.

ReplyDeleteIf 1:33 AM is so sleepy that she can't see that, too bad. She used the word "revel", but in fact "reveal" would be much more appropriate:
"You reveal in the misfortune of an entire town". You are just the messenger. Nazareth residents deserve to know why they lost these opportunities, and the Council should make sure it doesn't royally screw up next time when looking for handouts.

ReplyDeleteAs I noted here, that program was used for a parade of defamatory remarks aimed at Lehigh County DA Jim Martin and several other private citizens. Contrary to what Gunther stated, in his own effort to mislead readers, he never looked into the lies being spewed. Once the Sprague law firm got involved, the Mentor was dropped like a hot potato. He'll never be on again. He could always buy air time on WGPA. Oh wait, they've been sued, too, for hosting Mezzacappa and Gregory.
