Centre County Will Convert Nursing Home to Nonprofit

By a 2-1 vote, Centre County Commissioners have voted to get out of the nursing home business. Control will go from the County to a non-profit firm. This will allow for a higher Medicaid reimbursement rate than is available to a County-owned home.

"I’ve come to the conclusion that counties really shouldn’t be in the nursing home business," said one Commissioner.

  1. Stop beating that broken drum. Only you Stoffa and the teabggers care. Some Republican in Centre county doesn't want a nursing home.

    Yawn! Next.

You and Stoffa are yesterdays news.

  2. Centre Co. put its seniors' care above union jobs. Meanwhile back at Gracedale, they struggle for an average rating at much higher cost. Let's hire a limo service for non-emergency transport. Peg has several limo companies in the Nazareth area.

  3. Centre county has their teabaggers dumping their seniors, we do not do that. We have a large facility, they do not.

Issue resolved, over. Go wear your holster carry your Obama Zulu sign and cry. ya baby!

  4. Most limos already have twwo exit doors and tempered safety glass that will break easily with a break out tool ! The problem will be with the intoxicated passengers opening them up and falling out. Most modern cars lock the doors as soon as the car is in gear, cchild door locks are also a problem! I propose a law to put smoke detectors and glass break out tools in every coMmercial passenger vehicle. Smoke detectors would provide an early warning system and would be inexpensive. Any upstanding operator would already have a fire extinguisher and first aid kit in their vehicles.
