Donchez Race Closer Than It Should Have Been

With 89% of the vote tallied, Bob Donchez is on his way to victory in the Bethlehem Mayoral race. He has 52% of the vote to Reynold's 48%. This is closer than it should be.

Some might say it's because of Donchez' negative campaign. I'd say it's because opponent Willie Reynolds worked his ass off, and all along had Mayor John Callahan's support. Although WFMZ has not projected Bob as a winner just yet, DA John Morganelli has told Donchez supporters that, with all but one precinct in, Donchez is in the lead.

  3. I disagree. Bob is simply a better candidate whose views are more in accord with Bethlehem voters. Willie will be a great Mayor should he choose to run again.

  4. If Willie should chose to run again, he should run and get a real job, in another state. And for his remaining time on council, he should stop slurring, sit there and shut up.

  5. Karen Dolan does enough slurring for everyone

  6. break out the horse and buggy. bethlum is about to go backwards under booby d's lack of leadership.

he now has a few months to figure out what type of fence he wants in his office - that is after he figures out where the office is. (chose plastic booby -it fits your personality so well and it doesn't splinter).

will spend his first year trying to select a committee to figure out what committees he promised to form. will blame slowness and lack of decisions on the committee.

second year the committee forms sub-committees. booby is now pleased as he has multiple committees to blame for his failures.

third year he has fence redone at taxpayer expense. committees quit in frustration as booby has yet to make a decision on anything.

fourth year he can't figure out why there are multiple people challenging him in the next election

  8. Remus is a former city hall hall walker and his negativity is repulsive...

  9. In this case Remus is spot on. All of the gains Callahan has made with this City will slowly evaporate under Donchez.

Wonder if Broughal will be the solicitor so he can suck off an additional public teet. He is a do nothing parasite that collects too much money off the taxpayers.

  10. This primary election between Bob Donchez and Wee Willie Reynolds proves it. There are 2,481 bonafide assholes in the City of Bethlehem that voted for Wee Willee.

His checkbook probably has $100 dollars in it, and he was hoping to run a city budget north of $70 million.

This same core count of 2,481 dipshits will continue to support the walking rectum, who will now have to wait eight years and seven months to get his chance to become Bethlehem's number one graft taker. The current number one graft taker has moved on the challenge of becoming County Executive. Ah, that proves another point, there are at least 6,808 bonafide assholes living in the county. They voted for Callahan.

  11. 8:46, Broughal is the best municipal solicitor I know and cannot under the Home Rule Charter serve the County and any other municipality. I doubt that arrangement is acceptable to him or his firm.

  12. Hey Remus..talk about a guy who has hands like a spider Broughal can't get out of one pocket before He is in another

  14. The good, the bad, and the ugly Primary 2013:
The GOOD: 1)Jon Geeting will crawl back into the whole that he crawled out of. 2)Reibman finally retires, but looks classy in doing so with his early consession speech last night. 3) Donchez wins.

The BAD: 1) Jon Geeting will still be able to tap into free wi-fi. 2) McClure will begin campaigning to become the next DA of Northampton County. 3) Steve Baron wasn't on the ballot, so we are stuck with him for a couple more years.

    The UGLY: 1) Mezzacappa

  15. Donchez should be embarassed. He ran a dirty campaign that pissed off a lot of voters and he knows it. If Donchez was such a great candidate he would have had the support of Callahan, Recchiuti, Dolan etc--all respectable and decent people.

  16. Why is Bob any different than the rest of them who are only in it for themselves?

    Wins a win...
