Reibman Misstates Facts in Second Hit Piece

Yesterday, I pointed out that NorCo Exec candidate Glenn Reibman is using a drunken Callahan look-alike in campaign brochures in an effort to deceive voters. Now, he's using misinformation. In a news release responding to a John Callahan TV Spot that includes video shot in “The Heavenly Hedgehog Ice Cream Company” at the Main Street Commons, Reibman claims it is a now defunct business.

What he fails to point out is that there is a new ice cream shop in its place at the same site, the "All Aboard Taste Station." The prior owner retired. It was not a "failed" business, as Reibman claims in a news release.

This is not negative campaigning. This is just being dishonest.

  1. Due to age the original owner failed to continue his business. It is just another way of stating the facts. You are just being pedantic for a mancrush.

  2. Alison, The news release is a lie. It was no failed business. The owner retired, and a new ice cream shop moved in. Move on to something else. You're embarrassing yourself.

  4. This is only the beginning of a Reibman smear campaign against Callahan. It is going to get real muddy coming down the home stretch. Thus far Callahan has not smeared anyone in his campaign mailers. Reibman opened the gate for a real smear. The only thing will be that Reibman's record, although he thinks it is good, is a real disgrace and reads like a chapter out of a gangster novel.

  5. Bo, who is this ALISON, that you are speaking to? Is that a fleck?

  6. Reibman is down in the polling. He needs to bring his opponents negatives up and lower his. You do this by getting into the gutter. Reibman must smear shit all over his opponents so he can raise his numbers in the polls. Reibman will show you his true colors in the next couple of weeks. he will run the nastiest dirtiest campaign you have ever seen. It is going to get brutal. Callahan will strike back. I can't wait.

  7. Alison,
I did not want a Reibman sign in my yard on the corner of Center and Macada. Why did you put one there? Does Glenn Reibman not respect my private property, or that of my neighbors. Signs were placed on most corner properties on Center St. Callahan may not have been my first choice, but you made him it now.

  8. He's slandered a poor old lady for a few votes. That's just evil.

Remember when the honorable Easton contractor with the same name ran a newspaper ad to tell everyone he was the good Fleck; not the lying gutter crawler who slanders harmless old ladies?

It's time to discuss Fleck's and his insipid wife's mothers. I want to know all about how they raised such evil filth who would do something so low.

That's what you do when you're caught claiming a fake degree, dumpster diving, and trying to call a paperboy's job a marketing position.

  9. Bernie,

If you really want Reibman and some others to look like idiots and lose votes, you only need to see who considers themselves a friend of TM on Facebook. Glenn Reibman, Robert Kerr, Tony Simao, and a few other notables.

  10. @3:15, what about Lamont Mclure he is a heavily endorsed candidate who has the support of we the people. Word on the street is RMM has contacted JC and the nomination is in the bag.

  11. I have been personal (not political) friends with the Flecks for a long number of years and I am even embarressed and ashamed by how Mike is running this campaign. Way to go Mike (insert sarcasm, at its finest).

  12. I very rarely comment on any blog because of the mostly anonymous nature and the complete lack of objectivity by most who run blogs, but I felt that on this post and series of ridiculous comments I must set the record straight for my client. The personal attacks on me are of no consequence from various anonymous people but the record must be set straight for my client.

    1. The mail piece sent was completely factually accurate and clearly laid out the failings of the Callahan when it come to the finances of Bethlehem. They were all sourced, including one from BO, which shows how Callahan overpaid by far for a parking garage from a local developer. ALL THE FACTS ARE ACCURATE AND SOURCED FROM THE PAPERS AND OTHER SOURCES.

    2. The press release sent out yesterday says that Callahan is misleading people by saying he created 5000 jobs as Mayor of Bethlehem, when in fact Bethlehem has lost jobs and businesses in great numbers since he has been Mayor. The unemployment rate has risen over 57% and the business featured in his ad is closed; the jobs held by the people that worked there are gone. I am sure the Callahan team would take credit for creating the jobs twice, since a new business opened in that location but that is just factually inaccurate. THE BUSINESS IS CLOSED AND WHILE CALLAHAN CLAIMS TO HAVE CREATED 5000 JOBS, UNEMPLOYMENT IS UP 57%!!

    3. There are many people featured in his advertising that no longer support Callahan and that is deceitful to the voters of the county.

As I said, I don't generally comment on the blogs but felt it was important to get this information out there, in light of all that is being said. Say what you want about me but I will tell you that Glenn Reibman is an honorable man, who has dedicated his life to education and public service and does not deserve all the insults hurled a him , while Callahan is given a free pass.

    MIKE FLECK

  13. LMAO honorable man... Lawsuits pay to play... arrests....endigtments....Grand jury.... Cushy job at the bridge authority.... If you can sleep at night...

Callahan has no reason to even recognize the slug.... It would only help him

    Have fun arguing with yourself?

  14. Barbara Garrison, owner of the Heavenly Hedgehog, retired her business from the Main Street Commons. She was not forced out. Check your lies Alison and Mike. You should have your mouth washed out with soap. That's what your mother would do when you got caught in a lie.

  15. These guys make Stoffa look better and better everyday

  16. "failed" is defined as "Unsuccessful in a particular activity"

    use in a sentence:

Mike Fleck failed in his bid to become mayor of Easton.

    or

Mike Fleck failed to represent his education accurately on his resume.

Please note-the word does not appear to be synonomous with retire.

    as in

Glenn Reibman retired from the school district, County, and Joint Toll Bridge Commission, and is milking the taxpayers to the tune of 3 pensions.

Mike, the mail piece is an outriht lie. You used a drunken Callahan look-alike in an attempt to deceive voters that Callahan is a lush bc, apparently, you're unable to find any on your own. The rest of the mailer could consist of Bible quotes, but it is still a lie. Reibman is attempting to deceive the public, just like he did about his $111 million bind.

". I am sure the Callahan team would take credit for creating the jobs twice, since a new business opened in that location but that is just factually inaccurate. THE BUSINESS IS CLOSED AND WHILE CALLAHAN CLAIMS TO HAVE CREATED 5000 JOBS, UNEMPLOYMENT IS UP 57%!!"

Michael, Michael, Michael. Statistics, statistics, and damn lies. Callahan has not created 5,000 jobs. He's crated 5,500 jobs. The unemployment rate in Bethlehem would be like Pawlwoski's rate in Allentown had Callahan not been at the helm. Shall we go into that, and do a comparison?

"There are many people featured in his advertising that no longer support Callahan and that is deceitful to the voters of the county."

Like your wife. You're now being paid $5,000 a month to support someone else. Point taken.

  19. "Bo, who is this ALISON, that you are speaking to? Is that a fleck?"

This would be Alison Fleck, Mike Fleck's wife and associate. Mike Fleck called to tell me I'm mistaken. Although the comment uses the exact same language I saw in one of her emails, and though Fleck has 5,000 reasons to be dishonest with me, I believe him.

  23. Time to start a write-in campaign for Sal Panto. None of the current three running even deserve a half shot at the office.

  24. Panto? He aspires to be back on the school beat..not the county beat. Sal would bring very little to the table except more commuter taxes.

  26. Personal message to mike and alison (not really when it's on bernie's blog). Anyway, now you might know how I felt when I was attacked by nick v with her half-truths, made up gossip and downright lies. I thought I could/would count on friends to back me up, but that wasn't forthcoming. sucks? doesn't it?

I guess I gave her more ammunition when I puplically started to call her a c*nt on public forums, but hey, I didn't have a political consultant, did I?

I have seen you guys get trashed over and over and I feel badly when it happens. Trust me, i've kept watch. perhaps, you now recognize the sleazy tactics that nick used to attack me and get people to side with her.

It really sucks. trust me- especially when you don't have any support to rely on...other than your integrity and your honor...which is what I did. I don't think y'all (the collective Y'all) can make the same claim.

  27. oh, and nikki: I said it once and I'll say it again (yeah even on bernie's dumb blog)

major props for listening to ADKOT in its entirett; not once...but twice.

    thank you
