A Walk in the Park

Blogger Michael Molovinsky will be conducting a walking tour of the Lehigh Parkway's WPA structures on Saturday, April 6th, at 10:00 A.M. It will begin and end at the Robin Hood parking lot, and should last an hour. Molovinsky expects local historian Frank Whelan to be on hand to answer questions about the history of these forgotten structures.

Because the weather promises to be nice, I'll be there too

  2. I am very disappointed I will miss this. Thanks to MM and others for bringing attention to these monuments of labor that make the park so beautiful. Please keep up your preservation. Efforts!

  3. The iconic covered bridge is in a terrible state of disrepair. It's very sad.

Will a roll of quarters be needed in the parking lot?

  6. $50k for street banners to.celebrate the 250th anniversary, but no financial support for these structures? Guess what? The anniversery is an uneventful past, but we have a chance to celebrate history that have endured generations. Mayor???

You own views are appreciated, especially if they differ from mine. But remember, commenting is a privilege, not a right. I will delete personal attacks or off-topic remarks at my discretion. Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics.
