Wow!

The American Olympic gold medalist in women's gymnastics, always an exceptionally "high-profile" sport which historically leads to lucrative advertising endorsements for a champion, is a religious extremist clinging to the Bible (and guns?)

Who knew?!

:-)

Gabby is a great kid. She will rule in Rio!

She won the hearts of all Americans who took the time to watch the Olympics. I hope the youth of the world were tuned into this great phenom. She did us proud.

I routed for her for all night and was incredibly proud when she won. Then, the TV announcer reminded me she was an "African-American." I hadn't given it a thought for three hours. She was just an American to me. She's simply fabulous.

ironpigpen,

if ur comment is in jest -u r not funny. if u mean it then u r just an asshole.

GOD bless this little lady. She represents what is good about this country and what we stand for. She is our modern day Jessie Qwens.

Remember when 'role models' were moms and dads? This kid is terrific but I don't want my girls to see an overworked, propably abused gym rat as their role model. For every well-adjusted kid like this there are hundreds seeing 'counselors' due to the inordinate pressure put on them by parents and coaches. What ever happened to the PAL and an afternoon at the "Y"?

It's still there, dude. Still there. Lots of great programs out there for our kids. And for all abilities.

Wonderful story for Americans to follow, as with all of the US athletes, and yet Fox News bemoans that she is wearing pink, rather than red, white, and blue saying it is a "kind of soft anti-American feeling that Americans can't show their exceptionalism."

I'm fortunate that I do not watch any of the TV shows. If I want to see her, I look for it on Youtube, and then look for a BBC production.

I am not sure which impressed me the most, her personality or her skills.

WOW!!!!!
Our greatest happiness to this little champion!!!
She replaced my husband on the Kellog's corn flake box and he's very happy for that.
God bless her and much happiness to her & the rest of the USA team.
