  2. As long as it stays in the hands of the stupid politicians, they will protect themselves to the end!

This whole case will end up costing the Pa taxpayers more money and it will go into the pockets of the greedy lawyers...

  3. I agree. The court did make the right decision and both laudable and ironic that a Republican from Upper Macungie drew a better map that the Supremes reflected on. Maybe there is hope for this screwy system afterall? Gerrymandering--yet another symptom of a system that needs correction badly.

In your opinion, where is this going? What will happen to the
    current primaries? Thank you.

  7. I read the court's opinion, and it threw the ball back at the legislative reapportionment committee. I believe we will stick to the current lines for another election cycle bc it is too late to make the changes. The public comment and appeal periods all start anew, too.

  8. From what I read in the MC, this Upper Macungie resdent did not like being split from nearby friends in different legislative district.

Why was it acceptable for East Allentown to be so badly divided in 2002 where we are bck to in this legislative year. The fact is we had it better this year then 2001. The only way they can make it better for us is to unite all six ES precincts together.

My suggestion - A district comprising the Borough of Catasauqua, Hanover Township-Lehigh County, All the Lehigh County wards of Bethlehem and the 14th and 15th Wards of Allentown.

But with our luck the 14th and 15th Wards of Allentown would be subdivided into 203 districts.

If the problem with the current redistricting roblems for Upper Macungie is resolved would she protest this unlikely thing being done to the ES of Allentown.

  9. What happened to East Allentown is terribly wrong. Pearson writes about his community and some make fun of him, but he is honest and caring and those qualities are not to be mocked.
