A Northampton County Grand Jury has charged two Scranton-area men - Robert J. Kearns and Patrick J. "PJ" McLaine - with defrauding Bethlehem Township of $832,460 in a street light purchase scam. According to The Scranton Times, an electrician is now suing for $5,000 in unpaid invoices. This is on top of $320,222 bill to another subcontractor.
A preliminary hearing on the Northampton County charges is scheduled March 16, before District Judge Barner in Bethlehem Township.

Let's shed some light on this matter!
Sir Twinkie, Esq.
Maybe Angle's friends at Concord Financial can bail them out. Ron's buddy Elmer got $40,000 in this deal. Concord arranged the financing for the Bethlehem Township deal that was paid to these guys. Maybe since Angle has to now pay 1.27 million he can throw a little to Bethlehem Twsp. Since he easily has the money to cover the 1.27 million.
I mean Elmer got $40,000 in the swap deal. Sorry!
When is the other hearing, the one for incompetence of twp officials?
You really think anything will happen to the twp officials or ex manager? Think again!!!!
In Allentown pa they also got lights that were of the shelf and the wrong item with a hefty misapropreation of funds.
Good Evening Ohare. Seems there is an article regarding MEM in the Scanton Times today. According to the City, they are demanding more money above their negotiated contract despite having issues making timely repairs.
Get your facts straight before judging... Obviously, there is more to every story, this one included. It is always easier to throw stones at others before one's self
