Do You Like the New Layout?

After six years, I decided to load a new blogger template that retains simplicity while adding a few bells and whistles. If you find this new template is slow to load, or have other comments or suggestions, let me know.

  2. Loads much faster and less clutter. Easier to read as well.

  3. "Flip flop the columns"

Do you mean you want the link, etc., on the left side? I think I can tweak that, if that is what you want.

  4. Looks good. Would only be better if there were more posts each day.

  7. Flip the columns.

Seems to be slower loading, and reacting to clicks.

Other than that, I like the dark text on the white background. Makes it easier to see, not necessarily to read, but to see.

  8. You moved the columns. Good! They are definitly better on the left side.

  11. I like it. I feel it's easier to read. I like the large icons of the other blogs. It was a good update.

  13. Bernie,

This loads so slow. And I don't like that you moved columns to the left side. I naturally read Semitic writings... so I am used to looking at the right side of the text.

But everything is cool. I really like it.

    Peace be with you, ~~~alex+

  15. Reduce the font size for the hyperlinks and contacts, and switch back to the posting on the left, links on the right.

  16. Links on the right, please!

  17. I guess I should put that up to a vote. I switched them to the left at the request of some people. But it makes no difference to me where they are. I'll leave that up to my readers. Whoever wants them on the right, let me know here. Whoever wants them to stay the way they are, let me know here. At the end of the week, I'll follow the wishes of a majority of my readers.

  18. Looks good. I agree with the others- links and other stuff much better on the left.

  20. Loads quick and looks clean. It's your content that kicks ass and takes names, though. Keep it up. Big fan.

  21. Also like left links.

  22. I like right links. God otherwise.

  23. I vote for links to the right.

  24. I hate when familiar things get changed, arbitrarily, for no discernable reason...I liked that warm brown background. sigh

  25. I don't like it but that's because I don't like anything new.

  26. The only opinion that really counts is Seamus. How does he feel about the change? If he's ok, then we have to be. He knows all about all so I'll trust his judgment.

You own views are appreciated, especially if they differ from mine. But remember, commenting is a privilege, not a right. I will delete personal attacks or off-topic remarks at my discretion. Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics. My decisions on these matters are made on a case by case basis, and may be affected by my mood that day, my access to the blog at the time the comment was made or other information that isn’t readily apparent.
