Happy Turkey Day!

Can you name three things for which you are grateful this year? For me, it's these three things: (1) a rediscovery of how much I love being outside, whether it's on a bike, running or walking; (2) some very good friends, on whom I can count for anything; and (3) my grandson, who makes me proud every time I see him.

Updated 12:48 AM: Incredibly, I've already had to delete comments by the usual trolls. I will delete any comments that are mean-spirited or hateful.

  8. We are thankful for so many things, hard to know where to start. Wife, kids, friends, health. The usual, but always most important, suspects.

Thank you, as well, for keeping an eye on things we can't, letting us know about some good things (though we may differ on what, exactly, is a good thing) and the forum to mix it up with those who see things through a different lens.

On this day, a healthy and happy Thanksgiving to All.

  10. I hope that everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving surrounded by loving family and good food.

I am thankful for all of the gifts that God has bestowed upon me. I am thankful of how my parents raised me, to always do the right thing for the right reason and never lower my standards even if (in the short run) it means losing. I am thankful that in the past year I have had the fortune of having so many people share their stories with me, and that I choose to be a voice for them every day.

  11. Tony, It was, as far as I'm concerned, a victory. Right now, the leaves are falling off the trees, but they'll be back next year, brighter than ever. I admire people like you, who stand up for their beliefs.

  21. we are greatful for many things,
Ann McHale, Lamont McClure, Scott Parsons, Bob Werner, Ken Kraft and the one and only Steve Barron!

  22. Stevie boy Barron is lucky an unfunded Republican with a checkered past ran against him. Let us see if he can string a few years of professionalism together without riding the current popular trend.

The way he used the Gracedale problem to get votes was disgusting. The guy is pure sleazy fraud. A wannabe Callahan.

  23. I thought Thanksgiving was just about prepping for selfish violence connected to Black Friday? lol
