It's consistently rated one of the top employers in the country, and Wegmans is a also a good neighbor in Hanover Township. At their July 26 meeting, Hanover Township Supervisors thanked Wegmans for voluntarily installing a sidewalk along Stoke Park Road, which abuts the store.
Supervisor Glenn Walbert noted that, in response to requests from some residents concerned about safety and pedestrian access, the Township had asked this customer-friendly supermarket chain to install sidewalks, although it lacked the authority to require them. Wegmans agreed, and sidewalks were installed in mid-July. Walbert asked the Township for a "letter thanking them for being a good corporate resident." He added, "It greatly improves the safety of pedestrians going down Stoke Park Road."
There was no need for a vote because Manager Jay Finnigan had already sent the letter.
In the past, Wegmans donated and delivered the topsoil for a baseball field at Lehigh Little League's Illicks Mill Road campus.

I don't trust these evil private companies. Their nonunion employees have no right to be happy. I'm preparing for a photo shoot to take place in their nice flower bed after I threaten their evil management. There's no place in my county for lowlifes like Wegman's and their happy employees. I'm officially on the case.
Barron, once again you are on a noble quest to expose an evil company that oppresses its employees. Just because Wegmans has consistently been rated as one of the best companiees to work for we all know that its workforce has been brainwashed to accept their pitiful lot in life. Round up your union posse and organize a boycott of Wegmans and to picket the evil politicians in Hanover Twp. that bestowed this undeserving honor on them.
You guys are funny!

Anon 7:15 - rated #3 of the Best 100 Companies to Work For by Forbes magazine. Not too shabby. But you're a Barronite who believes that all non-union companies are evil. Pathetic!
Barron Mac Bigbelly agrees!
