Express Times: Time to Sell Gracedale

The Express Times not only endorses a sale of the County-owned nursing home, but believes that Northampton County Council should make the call.

  2. Knock off the vulgarities, please, or at least be a little more literate about them.

  3. Would that be the vulgarities of disagreeing with the Express Times because they agree with you dear, dear friends Angle/Stoffa.

    Are those the vulgarities?

Or the fact that they base their opinion on flawed and manufactured date that has been created to make Gracedale look like the only option is to sell?

    Are those the vulgarities?

Or is it that while Martin Till swills expensive single malt whiskey at the Saucon Valley Country Club, no doubt writing it off on his taxes so we can help defray his "business" cost, he decides to do what he has always done and agree with Stoffa since the paper helped get him elected and he finds the Stoffa mystique of incompetence charming?

    Are those the vulgarities?

Everyone knows you slant your "reporting" but how about some better guidelines sparky.

  4. Bernie, I do not comprehend how anyone can guarantee that a private corp running Gracedale will perform the same quality of care that our patients now receive. I also do not understand why thought is not given to leasing i.e."empty bedroom" space for other medical or legal uses. The Slate Belt Medical Center here in the outreaches of the Slate Belt or whatever else we have been called, is doing just that. Gracedale needs some creative thinking and planning. Yes, I do support maintaining Gracedale, how ludicrous some what think that to be. Carol Almost forgot, good morning, Bernie

  5. Anon 4:29, You conveniently fail to mention that you signed off with a vulgarity.

  6. Carol, How are you???? I was wondering what you thought. Greg Z shares your view. I saw him a few weeks ago and he's as pleasantly feisty as ever.

  7. Maybe we should just let government close down completely and not tax anyone..That way, the ones with the biggest guns win..Then when the gangs from Allentown take over Hanover Township and the like, these so called conservative republicans will stop calling for abolishment of taxes..These people are so pathetic..they want every government benefit they can get but just don't want to pay for anything...Go Latin Kings!!

  8. I called the editor today after reading. Spoke to a woman who was to relay my displeasure with the editorial . She told me it is consensus driven by the editorial staff. I was to be contacted by the person who wrote it . Left both telephone numbers, no one called. I informed the woman that I subscribe to the Morning Call and Express for weekly home delivery. I informed her that the endorsement of Toomey was not something I agreed with . This after the editorial went to great lengths to call him out on his indiscretions. I said that they should have refused to endorse any candidate under the circumstance. I told her that was not a deal breaker for me. However when combined with this latest editorial AFTER the poll indicated 90+ % in favor of allowing a vote. I will not be renewing my subscription in February. It is sad to watch the newspapers fold and go away one by one. However I can't in good faith support them any longer.

  9. That's the best way to deal with the Excess Times. They are in the bag for Stoffa. Stoffa wants Gracedale gone because he and his inept managers don't know what they are doing.

The editors just ask Stoffa what to write. They deserve each other. these are the same clowns who endorsed a multi-million dollar Health Department.

  10. " I will not be renewing my subscription in February."

Then why are you here? I believe Gracedale should be sold. Idle threats from an anonymous coward.

  11. Not a threat
    Not a coward
    Not renewing
I went to MoMo with Rodin
I could write a book on him
let me put it this way he is among his own kind
I won't go into that for his sake
Owens called back and did not seemed concerned about the direction of his paper or the precipitous drop in subscribers. Maybe Angle can get him a position writing a paper in the new prison.
I wonder how the Ahmets would feel about how the new bosses cheapened the paper they once owned? I grew up with those people as well as the Strohmeyers. Top notch and concerned about the valley. Thats when the papers were viable. Now they are akin to trash like this site. Tis a pity.

  12. Anonymous. Coward. Not renewing the ET bc of its position on Gracedale, but you comment here. That means that, in addition to being an anonymous coward, you are a liar.

  13. Absolutely, you are a liar. If you are willing to read this pro-Angle blog, you cannot convince me that you are ending your subscription to a newspaper that has been more unbiased. You are (1) anonymous, (2) a coward and (3) a liar. Go away.

What did you expect from a ostracized drunken bum disbarred lawyer who couldn't hold his fathers jock strap, let alone fill it, yet chooses to carry water for a future felon.
    Good luck sucka

  16. Anon 7:07, from your lips to Gods ear. You hit it on the head. He is an angry bitter failure who has latched on to a paycheck in Angle.
