Longoons Planning Ambush in Courtroom One

I've been tipped off that tonight, before I have an opportunity to cast a vote for Michael Lawas as Northampton County's next Dem chair, the Longoons intend to knock me off.

Apparently, the first order of business is to bar me from voting because I support some Republicans like Charlie Dent and Ron Angle. But what the hell, Bossman Long himself was illegally elected and is in no position to expect committee members to follow by-laws that he himself has ignored.

Of course, they're taking the sneaky approach, too, trying to ambush me without prior notice,

The Longoons are using the same approach that has made them a disaster at the polls for the last eight years.

  1. I love that you're stirring up shit. But aren't party officials expected to be party loyal? I wouldn't want guys on my team who've supported the other team. If the "team" discussion sounds revolting, please take it up with the party system at large.

  2. I know it was a six vote tie, and you won a coin flip, but you were elected at the ballot, regardless.
They can not bar you from performing your elected duties.
I was unable to attend our meeting Monday, and Tuesday I received emails from uninformed boobs telling me that I should not be allowed to take office.
I personally informed members of the executive committee of the reason for my absence, and they had no problem with it, as it did pertain to a project I am working on that will help the party in coming years.

  3. P.S. I would like to cross county boundaries and work with Laws (Or Garvin) on that project, by the way.

You own views are appreciated, especially if they differ from mine. But remember, commenting is a privilege, not a right. I will delete personal attacks or off-topic remarks at my discretion. Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics. My decisions on these matters are made on a case by case basis, and may be affected by my mood that day, my access to the blog at the time the comment was made or other information that isn’t readily apparent.
