LV Tea Party To Protest Biden, Callahan Visit at Blue

When the motorcade escorting VP Joe Biden and congressional candidate John Callahan visits the Blue Grillhouse on Tax Day, they're going to have company. The LV Tea Party is staging a protest across the street. So far, 27 members have indicated they'll be there. To them, this is a Big F----ing Deal

Here's a note from their web page:

PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR CAMCORDERS TO TAPE THE EVENT OR ANY PROBLEMS FROM INFILTRATORS

You asked for it, you got it....

Our tax day tea party for the LV will be outside the Blue Grillhouse, our guest of honor, will be none other the 2nd in command... Joe Biden!

Save the date- start making your signs (please please keep them tasteful!) and get your voices out to be heard!
He is supposedly there 11am-1pm, PLEASE SHOW UP AROUND 10:30!

Address:
4431 Easton Ave, Bethlehem, PA

NEW DETAILS-WE HAVE THE PERMISSION OF THE FOLLOWING PATRIOTIC BUSINESSES ACROSS THE STREET FROM BLUE GRILLHOUSE- THE GAS STATION, DR. KASSIS- CHIROPRACTOR, A.B.E. AUTO SALVAGE, INC, AND WALLPAPER EXPRESS. PLEASE LET THEM KNOW YOU APPRECIATE IT AND USE THEIR BUSINESS IF YOU HAVE NEED OF THEIR SERVICES. WE DO NOT HAVE THE PERMISSION OF THE LAST BUSINESS- G & L SIGN FACTORY, SO STAY OFF THEIR END OF THE CURB.
WE HAVE THE PERMISSION OF THESE BUSINESSES TO STAND ON THE CURB ALONG THE EDGE OF THEIR PROPERTY, WHICH FACES BLUE. DO NOT BLOCK ENTRIES/EXITS AS CARS NEED TO GET INTO THESE BUSINESSES WHILE WE ARE THERE. WE DON'T WANT TO HAMPER THEIR BUSINESS (OBAMA HAS ALREADY DONE THAT ENOUGH!) YOU MUST PARK ELSEWHERE. I WILL SEE IF I CAN LOCATE SOME PARKING, BUT IT'S NOT HARD TO FIND.

Well, apparently it's not a dinner, its a luncheon. stay tuned as we are working on the meeting place. 11am-1pm, we will prolly gather around 10:30am

If this changes your chance of attendance, please update the RSVP

Vice President Joe Biden will be in the Lehigh Valley next week! He will be in town on 4/15 hosting a $250-$1,500 per person fundraiser for Mayor John Callahan at the Blue Grillhouse on Easton Avenue.

No word on LEPOCO's whereabouts at that time. Most of them are in a nursing home.

  5. Bernie,

Wish I could be there to express my outrage directly. Had dinner last night with someone from the French Caribbean, he asked me about the “Tea Party” movement as he had read only critical stories in the press here and at home. He was ready for me to dismiss them as a bunch of nuts/racists/lowbrows…I explained that the outrage that drives this movement comes from a general sense of betrayal; Obama with the help of the press ran as a centrist/ moderate politician but is governing from the left. I also told him that since the press is generally firmly on the left they will never be an honest broker of any news that relates to politics.
Mock this movement all you want, it won’t change the dynamic that has taken shape in the country. It does however serve to remind us of the contempt and arrogance that pervades today’s liberal (?) mind.

  6. I don't agree with their agenda, but they were courteous enough to contact the businesses and ask permission. They were also thoughtful enough to stress good behavior. More power to them.
But I am laughing at the conspiracy theory/infiltrator lines. Okay!
maybe the Friday night pamphlet passer will show up and they can grill him.

  7. Chris,

On Left wing web sites there are open solicitations for volunteers to infiltrate these demonstrations for the expressed purpose of causing disruptions and getting on camera with offensive signs, words and gestures.

It’s a new day in America, it all about the power and destroying dissenting voices.

You might be a Tea Party member? But then I said no way. Then I reread your post and said way?

  12. I thought only greedy selfish Rethuglicans would have the audacity to hold this type of arrogant, high-brow fundraiser at such a snob-house.

What about the werkin' man? Werkin' man not welcome? Come on, ther all for the werkin' man.

    Dupedocrats.

  13. I am highly critial of the LV Tea Party for NOT bothering to elect its own leaders while claiming to promote democracy and because it is a nonporfit that engages in political activity. But I frankly am happy to see them protesting Biden's visit at the Blue.

The VP and Callahan have decided to hold a fundraiser at a swanky restaurant on Tax Day and in an area where unemployment is somewhere around 9.8%. That's incredibly arrogant.

On Friday night, during their candidates' night, I believe the felllow who was distributing the anti-Dent literature is one of those tea party infiltrators. The rank and file is VERY conservative, but I think they are decent people who have suddenly grown interested in their country. Their unelected leaders are somewhat extreme and, despite their prnouncements, do not really speak for the group.

  16. Despite their not adhering to procedures and registrations and protocols that Bernie would prefer (so they can be kept an eye upon, i suppose?), the unwieldy grassroots campaign marches on. They've been courteous and asked for civility while their detractors make scurrilous accusations and plan to disrupt. What a juxtaposition with SEIU and ACORN and Code Pink.

  17. " Bernie would prefer (so they can be kept an eye upon, i suppose?),"

TYhat's right. Any political group or nonprofit must be both transparent and accountable. Part of the reason ACORN got into so much trouble is that it was neither.

  18. I believe there are ne'er do wells that who take advantage of public forums to exhibit extreme behavior.
The guy Friday night easily slipped in and out of the crowd. He was hiding in plain sight.
I just don't buy the idea that there is a large group gathering in basements plotting this crazy stuff. Two or three, maybe, and I'm not discounting certain bloggers with a score of imaginary friend in their heads and on their blog.

  19. I know what businesses to avoid now. Thanks.

By the way, what kind of an adult uses the slang "prolly" in an email to other adults?

  20. Chris,

I'm inclined to agree with you. maybe I'm mistaken, but I think the "infiltrator" web pages are the work of a few nuts.

I have my suspicions concerning the Friday night thug that you and I both saw, and will wait until I find out more about him.

    He was a lousy infiltrator.

yes, why can't they have the decency to accept checks at small, intimate dinners in D.C. with healthcare lobbysists?

  25. I've reviewed that in the Pa. delegation, and Dems received far more money than Rs from the healthcare lobby. Kinda' makes me wonder.

Clearly you are to simple minded to capture what I was saying.

My point was everyone knows Angle is suspect at best, and he should be as you put it "both transparent and accountable." That is not a "slime" of Angle it is simply my opinion!

Why is it you are the only one that can have an opinion on here? I thought this was for discussion. Just because someone says something you don't like it is a smear, or slime tactic. Can't you just let it be an opinion?

  28. Your comment is still nonsensical and is also OT.

  30. Bernie is mad because he was not invited for free as a member of the "press". He wanted to get some real tube steak as opposed to the cheap tube steak he eats at the tic toc.

Maybe the teabaggers will get you your tube steak Bernie, it would make sense.

THe Repubs are already firmly in the back pocket of the lobby. Why waste money there?
