LC Comm'rs Vacancy Will Remain Open One Week Longer

Tonight, Lehigh County's Board of Commissioners were to appoint a Democrat to the seat once held by affable Bill Leiner. Would they pick Hansell? Would Percy Dougherty reach into his bag of tricks for his personal favorite, CPA Deana Zosky? Would it be someone like Geoff Brace, who was second choice on most everyone's list?

We'll be waiting another week before we have an answer. After consulting the Oracles, Commissioners have decided to wait until next Wednesday, same time same place, to make their decision.

Perhaps this will give Comm'r David Jones some time to reach out to the candidates, something he has still failed to do. Maybe they should call him and say they're from Haiti or that they have money for Life Church.

Who do you like best? Remember, it has to be a Lehigh County Democrat.

  7. And last I checked, standing in the snow won't kill you anyway. Jeez we're evolving into a nation of wimps.

But on the topic, it's easy - Geoff Brace.

  8. You mean it's inside? Oh, now I get it. Last year, Frank Kane showed me to a nice seat in center field and i waited 4 hours and nobody came. Is that how you roll, Frank? They needed a welder to unglue my ass. Did you think that was funny?

You own views are appreciated, especially if they differ from mine. But remember, commenting is a privilege, not a right. I will delete personal attacks or off-topic remarks at my discretion. Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics.
