Why Mexico Will Have No Team in Winter Olympics

So I was minding my own business yesterday during a meeting of Northampton County Council's Personnel Committee. One former bigshot was sitting next to me, whispering throughout the meeting. I thought we were going to get a detention.

He was talking about the Vancouver Olympics for some reason, and asked if I was ready.

"You know Mexico is not sending a team, don't you?"

"Why not?"

"Because every Mexican who can run, jump or swim is already in the U.S."

Don't tell Morganelli.

  1. Yup - that's the LV mentality.

I can't wait till these perverted non-humans die off.

  2. Oh come on. Where's your sense of humor? I did not consider that joke insensitive in any way. It's just funny.

  3. Oh so very true, they are all here doing landscaping and laboring. Ever been in a Wawa at 5am? Anon 12:42 you will get sick of paying for all the illegals sooner or later...unless of course you are one yourself??

  4. Well, 12:52, I will NEVER get sick of helping out anybody who risks everything to come to this country to partake of its promises.

Either we embrace the "struggling masses, yearning to breathe free" or we sink into the slime of nationalism - does your belief system include the thinking that was prevalent in 1930's Germany?

I hope you are never in the position where you have to rely on the sour cream of human kindness.

Tell me how you know that those folks you see in the WaWa you describe are undocumented aliens. Is it their language? Their clothes? What gives you the right to judge fellow humans based on your own flawed perceptions? C'mon, tell me. I'm a big boy, I can take it.

Although I'm certain you cannot grasp the concept, stereotyping is not about typing with both hands.

And, 12:52, my ancestors fought in the Revolutionary War - immigrants, regardless of their legality, are what have made this country great. There is no such thing as a good soup made without diverse ingredients - but I guess that concept is far beyond your cheese fries intellectual capabilities.

    Deal with it.

And Bernie, my friend, it may be funny on one level, but it's still insensitive. It's time we stand up to these closet racists.

  5. Well, I am sorry if you find it to be insensitive. That is not my intent. We do have a huge population of undocumented people from Mexico, but I thought this was a way of recognizing that while making light of it.

  6. "Risks everything" - How courageous and brave...

WHATEVER HAPPENED TO RESPECTING U.S. LAW AND ENTERING THE COUNTRY LEGALLY?

I would imagine all those who went through the naturalization process to obtain citizenship and FOLLOWED THE LAW would be pissed off at the fence-jumpers.

1:29 AM --- the law of this land obviously mean zip to you.

Perhaps your comments mean zip to those who follow the law in this country.

  7. I thought it was funny.

It's less funny when you contemplate why such diverse entities as the US Chamber of Congress and every conceivable do-gooder group support few, if any restrictions on immigration. Do-gooders practice the morality of good intentions and don't consider the unintended consequences. The US Chamber wants to ensure a steady supply of slave labor (and with English-only requirements, they'll stay slaves).

Both approaches come together to bring us cheap labor from second class citizens who'll never become fully involved in the so-called American dream. While complaining about the stress this puts on our social welfare system, the overall calculation shows a pretty good deal for documented American's pocketbooks.

You see, nobody in charge has any intention of changing the system. Quite the opposite, they want the current system codified and continued.

Still a funny joke though. Folks need to lighten up.

  8. Anon 1:29am when you lose your job to an illegal who will do the work at a much lower rate don't come crying to me. And your "risks everything" comment made me laugh. First they are attempting to come here because they have NOTHING, and if you have nothing what is it you are risking?

Ironpigpen is correct, there are laws that are supposed to prevent people from entering this country illegally. There is also a process for them to enter legally. If they are "yearning to breathe free" as you put it, then why not go through the proper channels to get here? More than likely they have something to hide.

My belief system is mine, just as your beliefs are yours. This issue can not be compared to 1930's Germany. Lets not try to make it something it is not.

I couldn't care less where your ancestors are from, nor do I care what war they may have fought in. I on the other hand have served this country and fought to protect the laws that are in place. And if someone chooses to violate the laws that our troops die for every day then I have a problem with that.

I can only assume that you relax in the comfort of your home safe and secure. And you feel this way because this country has laws that you believe will keep you that way. If you open the door for illegals where do you stop? If it is ok for them to violate the law then it is ok for someone to break into your home? Think about it, you can't have it both ways.

Also this all came about because of a JOKE..........It was funny to me, mainly because it was true. I think you are the one that needs to DEAL WITH IT.

  11. Sounds like the long time public official is Jerry Seyfried. That is his kind of joke.

You are a homophobic racist like your buddy Angle.

  12. That'd be ignorant if it were true. Actually it's the opposite right now. The stations that are set up by churches on the border to help Mexicans crossing the border who suffer from thirst of hunger and overwhelmed with people going the other way back to Mexico since the Bush Recession has even affected the illegals! I heard it on the news.

  13. Anon 1239am...If the illegals are running the other way we are on the right track!!!! In fact I think you should follow them!!
