Scissorhands Severson' Preliminary Hearing Today

I'll be making a road trip to Harrisburg today. Somewhere in the bowels of Dauphin County's Courthouse, there will be a preliminary hearing for deceptive campaign practices filed against political consultant Tom "Scissorhands" Severson.

A grand jury continues to investigate sleaze campaigns in Northampton County, having met last week. It appears this investigation includes more than Severson. An interesting array of witnesses is under subpoena today. They include Northampton County Controller Steve Barron, Northampton County Dem party boss Joe Long and Northampton County Council member Lamont McClure.

I'll have the details as they develop.

    Bernie, folks have been telling you for months Barron is one of the Long boys. You have a mini-mancrush on him but the truth is the truth.

    I bet Barron and McClure will flip like flapjacks on Severson.

    Wasn't Barron the treasurer of the Northampton County Democratic Party? If anyone would know, where the money was sent for services to the NCDP, Barron would have to know.

    Barron was a Long Dem. But things have happened over the last 10 months or so to change that.

    The stuff with the Bethlehem Dems, the stuff with Stoffa, and other stuff led to Barron and Long only being cordial to one another.

    hope Severson gets jail time in cell next to Joe Long and others who violated law(s) but normally these kinds of nitwits only receive "slap on wrists"...very unfortunate. Hope I'm wrong in this extraordinary case. John Morganelli should be ashamed of himself for his association with millionaire nitwit, Severson. I warned public and press about devious Severhands decades ago to no avail. I guess crime pays afterall, is my opinion. Go figure!

    I guess Steve has the luxury to be a Long dem when it suits him or Bernie, nice!

    Once a Long Dem always a Long Dem! Dertinger, McClure and Barron are all products of the Long Regime.
