You own views are appreciated, especially if they differ from mine. But remember, commenting is a privilege, not a right. I will delete personal attacks or off-topic remarks at my discretion. Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics. My decisions on these matters are made on a case by case basis, and may be affected by my mood that day, my access to the blog at the time the comment was made or other information that isn’t readily apparent.
The potential is there for split voting. Dally and Zito may split the Slate Belt. Murray and Khoury may split Easton. Hollenbach, Narlesky and Heimbach could split Bethlehem. How this all factors in when voters have 3 choices and there are 6 primary slots to fill, I have no idea.
ReplyDeleteWhat ever happened to the County Executive poll you did?
ReplyDeleteAnon 11:34,
ReplyDeleteYou know what happened. You attempted to play games with it bc I did not set it so that you could only vote once from an IP. That oversight was corrected in this poll.
There probably is still a way to mess with this poll, but it's a little harder.
Let's face it. If these polls were reliable, Ron Paul would be president today.
I heard that some of the candidates told their supporters to reset their cable modems after every vote. In that way, each time it is reset you get a new IP address from your ISP and can vote again. Was that a way around it? Or were people just spreading that false information
ReplyDeleteYou can't get a new IP from your ISP. It is hardware driven. That would fail.
ReplyDeleteThat is so funney. A guy O'Hater hated won his goofy poll and that means it was rigged.
ReplyDeleteI guess you are supposed to voice your opinion unless it contradicts the great O'Hare. If you do it must be fixed.
I agree with the first commentor that split voting may clearly impact result. One benefactor of that may be Karl Longenbach who has broad support in all parts of the county including his home town of Northampton and its surrounding townships, Bethlehem and the Slate belt.
ReplyDeleteMy point is much like Mine that Bird in the Kentucky Derby, Longenbach may make his way through the pack to finish in the money. One other auger of success for him is that fact that Bernie notwithstanding his complimentary comments on his temperament and intelligence has fortunately not chosen to make him his first pick which may have cost Longenbach a spot in '05 when he finished third, only 400 votes behind Beltrami.
The only judge I know I won't be voting for is the one who boasts of her endorsement by Lisa Boscola. Hollenbach I think.
ReplyDeleteAnon 6:53,
ReplyDeleteShhhh! Last time, when I worked for Karl, I ended up losing his campaign.
