Charles Dertinger: Fighting Union Grievances Too Costly
Charles Dertinger: "We have some of the best employees in the region, working here for Northampton County. And to treat them fairly, to treat them humanely, as we spoke about treating our prisoners, is not a lot to ask and certainly, cut down our costs in legal fees and make them more productive."

Stoffa and his puppet piggy want to fight every little item even when the are 100% WRONG. Come on people wake up and make the work place enjoyable instead of making it a battle ground! Stoffa needs to go and take his anti union puppet show with him. VOTE ANN MCHALE!!!
The Stoffa Administration has spent nearly one million dollars on one law firm since it has been in office. All most all of this money has been on anit-union activity.
WHAT! a million dollars!!! way too much!
Is this goon list? The people that stole the 600 signs the same night Ann's went up?
Dertinger spoke in cowardly generalities and failed to cite a single, specific case. I imagine he supports the arm breaker at Gracedale in light of overall poor morale. He's a union puppet with poor diction from Central Casting. Stoffa made him look idiotic, which is like shooting fish in a barrel.
$1,000,000? Damn. If it weren't for the Unions, I might have gotten a tax refund.
My family was all Union in the day back when the unions were unions. They fought for child labor laws, 8 hour days, insurance and compensation, especially for immigrants. As a descendant of those noble people, watching the new unions fighting for 10% increases in salary every year when the children and grandchildren of the original Unionites are getting laid off and suffering the lack of raises in the real world is disgraceful to me. It's gotten out of control.
Stoffa has forked over nearly a million dollars to one Law Firm to fight employee's.
Charles made an excellent point. Stoffa sounded like a confused old man.
So as I understand it, we should just allow county workers to break arms at Gracedale. We should allow every petty grievance. If that's how you feel, then vote McHale. I prefer the reasoning of the old man, who didn't sound confused at all.
Yeah, ya know there has been a rash of arm breakin out at old Gracedale.
Nigh on 100 to 200 or so. Thank you Mr. Stoffa. Maybe the arm breakers also are steling the signs, ya never know.
Charles! is a long winded but really effective County Council person. He will win easily and some day our grandchildren will thank him for being the first public official in Norco history to make the Open Space and Farmland Preservation Programs a reality.
The Anon 11:17 St. "Charles!" groupie (or "CHARLES!" himself?) commments under the wrong post. Would have understood under the vernal pools post, but commenting on preserving open space under the "union grievance" post makes me wonder if Jimmy Hoffa's burial site has finally been found.
Steal a sign, wake a sleeping lion.
CHarles had nothing to do with OPen Space and now takes credit. He's a Vanderbilt.
Ron Heckman wrote and passed the Countys first Open Space Resolution.
