There was also a pro game on July 5, 1869, when the Brooklyn Atlantics beat the Philly Athletics, 51-48, in a game witnessed by 15,000 people at the Capitoline Grounds in New York. And for amatuers, Baseball Library reports that on June 8, 1868, the Niagaras beat the Colombias 209-10.

Even in history, Philly sucks!
I would like to add that these old time games had very few home runs with the "dead ball" baseball they used and many fields did not have a fence making the high scores even more incredible. Thanks Henry
