What's Next For Lamont McClure?

After falling short in his bid for the Democratic nomination to the Pa. 07 Congressional District, what has NorCo's former Exec been doing? He likes to take pictures of flowers and rocks and that kind of goofy stuff, but what does he want to do? He might want to run for DA next year, but I doubt he'd primary Steve Baratta. He might want to run for judge but will have to wait a bit if he does. He still has money in his state account, so he's obviously keeping his options open.

Here's what he says on Facebook, next to a picture of a flower: Many Friends have been asking me what I’m doing next. I think some people just might be tired of me posting pictures of flowers all the time. 😂 Over the last 30 years, I’ve had two very intense, successful careers that sometimes ran on parallel tracks. Like LeBron this is likely to be my last “Decision”, and therefore, I’m taking my time. 😀 I’m trusting the process too. 😂"

I personally think he's planning to open a flower shop.

  7. His tenure on council was marked by time theft. His term as executive was a statewide embarrassment - and tragedy re: Gracedale. His final exit was disgraceful. He should move away and never darken any corner of this county as long as he lives.

  9. Most people don't really care about the failed pol. They were singing that great country ballad when he left in disgrace - Thank God and Greyhound he's Gone.

Let Lamont and crew make your dreams come true.
    I’d invest in that.

  11. Posting pictures of flowers is goofy according to you? You are one of the most miserable human beings in this county. Maybe you should start posting pictures of beautiful things before they die by the environmental impact of data centers. It might do you good to see beauty instead of feeding off of all the negativity that you are so gluttonous for.

    2. To be fair, Bernie is "crusty" rather than "miserable". And congratulations for falling for all the ChiComm propaganda re data centers. I'll bet if you're old enough, you were anti-nuke power too.

  12. No you're nothing like LeBron. He came to teams and made them better. You ran the county into the ground and put just about every county employee in a horrible way. LeBron came and made the people around him champions. You put people in the ground. You should never be in politics again or hold any type of leadership position. You ruin gracedale. Literally destroyed a jail, take a look into it. And left your predecessor a pile of excrement that she can't get out of.
Go find a place to walk around with your sodas and st as stay away from people lively hoods.

  13. McClure cut property taxes in 2022. Not many local pols can claim that

  14. We best be saying the same in November about Brooks. That bum needs to vamoose and crawl back under his rock. A guy of his character probably pees on people's flowers.

  15. So, looking ahead to 2027. Agree that he wouldn't run against the incumbent DA. 1) Unlikely, but he could run for a statewide judgeship 2) Norco Court of Common Pleas (is there's a pending retirement/vacancy??). 3) Township Commissioner 4) County Controller 4) County Commissioner District 3.

Prediction: Jeff Warren beats Rep Emrick creating a vacancy in November. Lamont is appointed Commissioner in December and runs against the incumbent MDJ in 27. :-))

    1. 1) If past is prologue, he should avoid statewide office. 2) Nothing soon. 3) No way. 4) No, full-time for 85k? 5)He could get that easily if Warren wins, but I doubt he can beat Emrick.

    2. If MDJ means "Magisterial District Justice" then he would have to run against his wife. Good luck on that one. Unfortunately, he made a bad decision when he cut taxes one mil four years ago. One mil in taxes brings in approximately 10 million dollars. When you lose 10 million four years in a row (40 million over four years) it can and will come back to bite you. He could have addressed a lot of County problems with that forty million dollars and he would have been in a great position for his run for Congress. I believe he only won six districts for his Congressional race. It is my understanding, He cannot use those dollars in his Federal Campaign fund to run for a local office. I could be wrong, but Bernie will know.

    3. He would not run for MDJ. He would run for the court of common pleas. He did not cut taxes one mill. It was much smaller, a quarter. He has a separate state account and can use it

  16. Tara keeps saying she for the county employees. But all she shows is she's for Lamont. Kept him on the pay roll. Kept his horrible administration. Only 2 honorable men were Barron and Patrio. They walked away from that piece of shit. They knew it was just gonna be a Lamont 2.0. He's pulling the strings.

  17. Primary BaRATta, please. That egomaniac made grand promises, namely improving morale, and hasn’t delivered. The office continually pleads cases, rather than go to trial, which isn’t always justice. That said, why chance a trial when the attorneys have a poor track record? (And they have a poor track record because there are so few trials.)

  18. You think Emrick is unbeatable, that chick neraly beat him twice, people are looking for more representation up there and almost elected an unqualified high schooler why not Warren for the win?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Agree with BO. Emrick hard to unseat, need to discover really bad stuff to turn that position. McClure should sit back a bit, the heat is still heavy from nursing home missteps and botched financials. He should just go back to his lawyer days. It fits him.
