Another unconfirmed report, including a photo, indicates that ICE was seen outside the vacant LA Fitness Center in Wilson Borough on January 31 at 1:30 PM. Two vehicles and about 5 agents are spotted. A third unconfirmed report indicates four vehicles were spotted the same day at 10 am at 2403 Butler Street in Wilson Borough.

    3. If you came here illegally, you broke the law. You deserve to be deported. My grandparents came here legally! Do the same! Let them do their jobs. If you interfere nothing good will come out of it. Why don’t you protest those illegals who killed Americans.

  5. Unconfirmed, reportedly, according to unnamed sources, . . . . . either way, this would all be good news to me.

If ICE actually was there to apprehend specific, known criminals there’s nothing to be worried about. Removing known criminal illegal entrants to this nation is a POSITIVE thing! We need to support much more of this.

There has to be hundreds of such bad actors all across the Lehigh Valley. We should welcome and applaud them.

    1. I don't think anyone objects to the removal of the "worst of the worst" in targeted enforcement. It is the sweeping raids that make real Americans angry

    2. Let's start at 5th & Hamilton where we can quickly resolve this situation.

    1. I suspect your approval of the thuggery we've all seen is NOT the sentiment of most people who vote and you and your ideology are going to pay a price in the midterms.

By the way, food prices remain high in part bc of labor shortages caused by a shortage of farm workers who are usually brought in on work visas. Another reason are Trump's tariffs.

Way to make America great again.

    2. Return to open borders. Yeah, I don’t think Americans want that again. Why don’t you talk about the agitators in Minnesota who are attacking journalists and stopping American -citizens in their cars and demanding ID and running their license plates. Are they the law? Paint the full picture.

    3. @7:15PM Shh. Don't want those pesky facts or videos getting in the way of the gaslighting. We do have a narrative to maintain here you know.

  7. This reminds me of the 1966 Cold War comedy, "The Russians are coming, the Russians are coming!" featuring Brian Keith, Alan Arkin, Carl Reiner, and Eva Marie Saint. A timeless classic.

  9. ICE was also spotted along most streets and alleys where crews did a poor job of clearing roads after the recent storms.

    1. It's a good thing when ICE and Border Patrol engage in Gestapo like tactics, begin arresting innocent people, stop people simply bc they look different, chase down 5 yo kids, start arresting American citizens on their way to work and start shooting people in the face and in the back.

    2. I read until the word gestapo, which betrays the hyperbole of an unserious post. [[sigh]]

  14. Most people as Bernie states......most people are not upset about ICE. For those that are here illegally they were given a chance to self deport. Many did. Those that did not may be picked up. I don't think most people have a problem with this.

  17. Bernie, I think your problem is you are trying to inject subtlety into an area where the sides are so polarized. Our nation has a low birth-rate and we have labor shortages in those undesirable occupations that migrants are willing to do but US-born people do not. We need immigration to fund social security for the future and to help our economy. It seems reasonable that we can selectively, and with constitutional due process, weed out the bad actors and allow in those who only wish to become productive citizens. I'm reading a lot of sad, racist posts from those who want the country to go back to the "old days", and I really wonder if these are the same folks who voted for GWB's compassionate conservatism, which was itself an attempt to live our country's supposedly Christian values.

    1. Are you saying we need non English speaking immigrants to enhance the labor force that Abe Lincoln messed up by freeing the slaves?

  18. “…we have labor shortages in those undesirable occupations that migrants are willing to do but US-born people do not.”

These are similar to the arguments made in support of slavery before the Civil War. SOMEBODY had to pick the crops.

What we have now are jobs that US-born people won’t do for the depressed wages caused by illegal aliens willing to work under the table for less. Remove the illegals, pay a fair wage for those professions, and there won’t be an issue.
