NorCo GOP Chair Glenn Geissinger Named Schylkill County's New Finance Director

The Republican Herald is reporting that Glenn Geissinger has been appointed as Schuylkill County's new finance director at a salary of $97,500, effective June 9.

Geissinger, a former member of Northampton County Council, will relocate. This means he will have to resign as the county GOP party chair unless he has already done so.

Although I rarely agreed with Geissinger when he was on Council, he was always approachable and a gentleman. I wish him the best in his new role.

  6. The county committee will be real happy that they spent thousands on his private legal fees! He has been pimping himself out for the last year trying to get off of his sinking ship of a business.

    1. They ARE happy. It is exactly what they voted for because not prosecuting those neanderthals would have been even worse and would set an awful precedent of tolerating such behavior in the future.

    2. Right. And what kind of precedent are you setting now by promoting Matt Flower to chairman? A wife beating criminal with a record a mile long who also dabbled in porn. Great job NCRC. You were already a joke with Geissinger at the helm but you will be a complete laughingstock with that loser running the show. Good luck Republicans in Northampton county! The clowns have truly taken over the circus.

    3. Flowers is awful. The NC Republican Party has a history of bad Chairmen, including Craig DeFranco and Glenn Geissinger.

    4. This poster doesn't have their facts straight. Not even close.

  7. Personally, I resent the appointment of Flower and think that although he will probably do a good job, this situation should handled differently. It's not the person I have a problem with, it's the process.

  8. Whatever happened to Glenn's court case against the State Committee Members? Did he win?

    1. All 4 members had charges held for trial. Pre trial motions are now being litigated in the superior court.

  9. He was a terrible and the only person who could possibly be worse is Flowers- no wonder the Republicans in NC are a train wreck!

  10. Oh, the hateful comments, Bernie. It’s so easy to know who is writing what. Congratulations, Glenn.

    1. The hateful comments are written by the same small group of loud, barely literate morons who scream, yell and protest, while refusing to meaningfully participate in the process.

They always need something to rail against and be angry about because they are completely unable to function in any way that positively contributes to the goal of advancing the party and the candidates.

They are children, lacking in knowledge, lacking in an understanding of the process and lacking any sense of decorum or ability to function as part of a larger team.

They come to this blog simply so they can have some outlet to gripe because the vast majority of the elected committee pays them no mind. They are irrelevant and viewed with contempt, much like a small stone in one's boot.

I don't have strong feelings either way regarding Flower, but he has shown great composure under pressure and an ability to organize and engage others. There are things about him I don't approve of as well, but you take the good with the bad. Better than Snover, better than Lynch, and he works well with the sane majority and the candidates. Geissinger was great at raising money. I'm hoping he can still help with that to some degree.

  11. Interesting if Flower is being considered given all he did to try unseat a Republican Northampton County Judge and other incumbent Republican politicians.

  12. GG helped flip the county for Trump, and helped throw Waddling Wild to the curb, where she illegally parked for weeks. Ds hate that and it's understandable. It's also hilarious.

    2. GG does good work and has a tough job. Make no mistake, Northampton County is the wild west of politics. It takes balls and sweat equityt to survive here.

    3. I suggest you go back and look at the numbers. Mackenzie and McCormick lost Northampton County. They won because of winning big in other counties that are part of the areas they serve.

    4. I suggest you do the same. McCormick won in Northampton County

  13. @3:09 PM Jenn Sletvold earned her status with the Republican Party. I helped her get elected. She has changed and is no longer the person I once knew. The old saying is true. Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Jenn is a cautionary tale for all aspiring politicians. It really is a shame.

  15. NC Republican Chair….Matt Muncy…maybe he’ll show up at their meetings

    1. Muncy has his own problems managing the far left kooks in who censured him while trying to bring back some normalcy and common sense to the county Dem party.
