Although she neglected to send me her announcement, Grace Crampsie Smith has announced today that she is running for the Bethlehem Mayoral seat currently held by Willie Reynolds. As I mentioned earlier this week, she is a Bloomsburg and Lehigh U graduate who was first elected to City Council in 2019. She was a school counselor but may have retired.

ReplyDelete4:59 pm: I disagree. Willie was a teacher and councilman. Ms. Smith taught, counseled, worked in varied areas of public interest, raised three successful children, and served on council. In my eyes, she is very well-qualified and her background shows she will be able to work with people. Unfortunately, that is an area where the current mayor lacks skills.
