Have You Received Your Mail-in-Ballot?

Late last week, I told you that mail-in ballots (MIBs) were being sent to NorCo voters. I received mine on Monday. The photo on the left side of this post shows you how the envelope sent by the Elections office looks. It is slightly larger than a normal envelope so that you are less likely to toss it as junk mail.

Some important dates to remember:

October 21 is the last day you can register to vote before the November 5 election.

October 29 is the last day you can request a MIB or "vote by demand" at the courthouse.

November 5, election day, is the last day you can return a MIB. It must be received by the elections office by 8 pm on election day.

    2. @1:47

Remember that time conservatives had actual proof that there was election fraud?

Yeah, me neither. Sit down you troll.

  3. This blog doesn’t care to discuss election tampering. There’s a clear message given through that reluctance in of itself.

  4. I got an email four (4) days ago that I should receive it in the next seven (7) days. Still waiting...

  5. I went online to request a ballot and received a rejection email for "duplicate". Once I called the Northampton Voter Registration Office I was advised that since I already requested for the primary I was automatically enrolled for mail in ballot for the general. The woman on the phone was very polite, professional, and cheerful. What a breath of fresh air. I can only imagine the hoards of angry who call in and speak unkindly. I like this type of voting. I will likely drop my ballot at the court house or the 911 center.

  6. Wife and I received ours yesterday.

I love the people/person yapping about election tampering. Democrats don't have to cheat to win, because they have policies and people that are more popular. MAGA folks can whine and pretend all they like, but there's been no evidence of widespread problems. When there are minor problems, it's GOP folks acting like fools (see below).

    1. Ah.. the fraud doesn’t have to be widespread, 11:56AM. Three to four essential swing states can do the trick.

    2. 3:14 -- 3-4 states? Haha. You're living in fantasy land. There was no widespread fraud in ANY state in 2016 or 2020. There will be no widespread fraud in 2024. Trump will lose, because of JAN6, Project 2025, his climate change denial, and abortion access. Prepare yourself mentally to accept defeat.

  7. Nope. How many others have just received this email? Is NorCo dropping the ball again? They have little credibility after the last couple of disastrous elections. Trust is earned. The trust they had has been squandered.

  8. Every voter in my household received requested ballots yesterday. We completed them this morning and all drove together to a drop box location where we all got out of the vehicle to place our own ballots in the drop box.

  9. Mail just arrived on my street. No ballots today. At my work, four other people requested NorCo ballots. None were received as of today's mail. Here we go again in NorCo. What's the problem?

  11. This proud American will be casting my mail-in ballot again. My right to vote is equal to yours. It is time to level the playing field and pass universal voting laws.

    Mail-in ballots Forever!

  12. I received the advance notice of mailing email late last week. The ballot arrived on Monday, October 7. I placed it in the Bethlehem City Hall drop box yesterday, October 8, and had an email last night that it had been received by the County. I have less confidence in the postal service for delivery than the overall process, but since my ballot arrived in a timely fashion I consider that it went well.

Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics. My decisions on these matters are made on a case by case basis, and may be affected by my mood that day, my access to the blog at the time the comment was made or other information that isn’t readily apparent.
