The Drip! - A Facebook "Watchdog" Group For Bethlehem Water & Sewer

Mark Will-Weber, a running coach who makes his living with both his feet and his pen, has established a Facebook Page called The Drip. That's not about him, but Bethlehem's water and sewer bills that are skyrocketing after "upgraded" meters are being installed.

  1. The Drip? Isn’t that some sort of STD?

  2. The Drip is Wee Willie raising our taxes again. The increase in my water bill is just another tax increase.

  3. How is "the city in the best financial position", but he is raising taxes and water fees?

  4. I always refer to my cell phone as an "STD" (spouse tracking device), but "The Drip" is about stopping Ed Boscola from sticking his hand in your pocket when you go on vacation. I was hiking in New Zealand with my wife for a month and got back to find that Water & Sewer sez I used 54,000 gallons of water (this is like 2X the Liberty HS swimming pool) during that time period. Thats quite a trick! I don't even want my $$$ back, but I DO want to shield others from this incredible bullshit which I suspect is a shady scam or, at least, an exercise in extreme arrogance. Most recently, a young woman returned from her wedding & honeymoon (was away for a month) and they slapped her with 48,000 gallons of water use! But they (Bethlehem Water & Sewer) will NEVER admit their meters might be f-ed-up....They have but ONE GOD and that GOD is meter! My meter was 31-years old (11 years past its shelf life) but they claimed it could not POSSIBLY be wrong---even though we brought in our own plumber who found no broken pipes, leaky toilets or faucets, not even a damp spot under my sink.
