I can't say that NorCo Council member John Cusick is running for Controller. I can't say he isn't. What I can say is that he'll be releasing a statement next week. His term as a Council member is over at the end of the year. He would not be leaving the people who voted for him in the middle of his term. He is without question the most knowledgeable person on County Council. His absence would be missed. So I hope he announces that he's running. He is a Republican, but he'd get at least my Democratic vote.

ReplyDeleteI agree. It would be horrible for us if he leaves Council but I would vote for him as Controller. Someone brave needs to stay on McClure!
ReplyDeleteAnybody but crazy unhinged Tara Zrinski. Saying she’s not qualified is an understatement.
ReplyDeleteIf he's so good, then why is he a Republican?
ReplyDeleteI dispute that Zrinski will automatically win the Dem nom. She didn't win it last year over Nick Miller.
ReplyDeleteHe would have to take a pay cut, work 12 months a year opposed to 10, and not pay into his teacher's pension and resign....nah, he isn't that stupid.
ReplyDelete10:14 - Grow up. You're part of the reason this country is the way it is.
ReplyDeleteȚară Zrinski haș no accounting background. Let's make another mess in NC.
ReplyDelete10:14 here. I'm entirely grown. I don't support the party of insurrectionist treason. Apparently you do. How mature is that?

ReplyDeleteThat isn't stupid. He would get two pensions instead of one. His teachers pension and a county pension. He buys all his council years and retires with his highest county salary which is about 85,000 a year. Looks like a genius to me.
I will vote for him. This Zirinski woman is nuts and just wants a fulltime elected position that she can get good pay and great benefits. Barron screwed up in this job by not being around, she will be an absentee office holder. Out making Crazy speeches and getting a fat check. Democrats love people like her and that is why, many normal people are leaving the democrat candidates, since none of them are normal. What happened to well-grounded common sense?
ReplyDeleteAnon 5:57 - ah.. you mean the retirement differentials from say $9,000 to 85,000 isn’t scaled ? There’s no bell curve ? The new post should pull up the council retirement but let’s say somebody’s only voted in one term . Nobody should be able to retire out on one term.then collect on that salary.
