Benny has been in a lonely corner of the Northampton County Law Library for quite some time. He's so engrossed in legal research that, as you can see, he has no time to eat.
If anyone knew who would make a great DA or judge, Benny would. So I asked him.

Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics. My decisions on these matters are made on a case by case basis, and may be affected by my mood that day, my access to the blog at the time the comment was made or other information that isn’t readily apparent.

ReplyDeleteNew blood is needed in the DA’s office. So many assistant da’s have quit since Terry Houck was elected. I don’t think he has the management style needed to run that office.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure there are multiple factors at play, but people are quitting government attorney positions (adas and public defender) in unusual numbers everywhere. Maybe it's just a strong market for employees and they are taking better offers. Not saying Houck's leadership style has nothing to do with it, but this is a common occurrence and I doubt it can be blamed solely on him.
