And then, after the pledge of allegiance, the colors are retired and these old citizen soldiers fade away, no longer needed.
For it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "Chuck him out, the brute!"
But it's "Saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot;
Thank a Veteran today. They are the real patriots.
Thank you to all veterans and their families for their sacrifices and service to our country. 🇺🇸
ReplyDeleteBrown AND Lynch American Legion Post?? You can't make this stuff up, but I thought fer sure you did! Had to Google it to prove it was a real American Legion Post. Pretty ironic, don't ya think? I mean no disrespect for Post #9's namesakes. But I got lots for Johnny Brownstain and Steroid Steve. Many thanks to all our veterans for your service!
ReplyDeleteI’ve seen Peter shoot an airborne aspirin tablet into smithereens from 100 yards with an old lever action.22 Henry rifle he didn’t even seem surprised
ReplyDeleteThe best shooting lesson I ever had was a few minutes with a Pete Cochran. If you ever get a chance to here his marksmanship wisdom, it will pay dividends.
DeleteHope by next veterans some state that can't count ballots will go to states that can and find out what they are doing wrong.
ReplyDeleteWe speak English in this country.
DeleteThe courage, sacrifice, and patriotism of our fallen soldiers, and most of those still living, is something we can never fully appreciate unless we’ve lived it ourselves. Unfortunately, many of these same heroes would be so disappointed with the current state of this nation, and the declining morality of its citizens. Oh, where have all the REAL men and women gone?
ReplyDeleteBy “declining morality” do you mean things like gay marriage and civil rights? Some of us call that progress.
Delete@ 7:02AM -- You mean Steroid Steve "Stolen Valor" Lynch.
ReplyDeleteThat's the one!
DeleteFacebook has suspended him for seven days, lol.
ReplyDeleteBuwahahha I thought he quit social media after getting beat like a rug
DeleteI wonder what he did to get a 7 day suspension- white fragility at its finest

Conservatives don’t care about cops, veterans or children. They just want power to pass bills that benefit the corporations and the wealthy.
"We speak English in this country."
ReplyDeleteWe do. We also speak Spanish, French, Italian, Polish, Slovak, German, Russian, Ukranian, Hindi, Farsi, Aramaic, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Korean, etc. We are and should always be a melting pot.
Not to mention what remains of some 500 Indigenous American languages and dialects that echoed across this country for 1000s of years before we English fuckers showed up.
DeleteYyyyesssss!!!! I had no hope for the Lehigh Valley but this post revitalize me. Thank you for pointing out all the lost indigenous languages suppressed by white supremacy
Delete"By “declining morality” do you mean things like gay marriage and civil rights? Some of us call that progress."
ReplyDeleteFirst, this really is off topic.
Second, nothing in that comment suggests a slur on gay marriage or civil rights. That is a product of your imagination. I think it more likely directed at the increasing violence and rampant crime.
Third, it is not gay marriage and civil rights. It is civil rights. Gay marriage is a part of civil rights.
The we speak English comment was meant as a sarcastic response to the preceding garbled comment. It wasn’t meant as a xenophobic comment. Sorry for the confusion.
ReplyDeleteBernie, I know all you democrats are so happy there was no red wave, but the Truth of matter is we will now have to live with our current situation, which is not good for our people, I think the holidays and beyond is not going to be a happy time. A veteran of Korea and Viet Nam
ReplyDeleteThank you for your service. Prayers for better times ahead.
DeleteBernie Why didn't Wolf campaign for Fetterman-?
ReplyDelete"Bernie Why didn't Wolf campaign for Fetterman-?"
ReplyDeleteI don't know whether this claim is true. If it is, it's likely that's bc Fetterman's handlers felt it would hurt him. I'm almost certain that Wolf did campaign for Fetterman at several rallies. I know for certain he did so in Philly.
What I do know is that R candidates avoided Mastriano like the plague. He hurt them anyway.
Thank you all , it wasn’t an aspirin, but a golf ball at 100 , no scope ,offhand, with an air gauged competitive rife ,standing up. Ah, the U.S.Government funded my lessons early, now I convey stuff to individuals that are worth their salt.
ReplyDeleteIll keep an eye out for you next time at easton fish and game
DeleteIt's difficult to be certain from the photos and videos, but does anyone know for sure if un-American, leftist extremist Matt Tuerk boycotted Allentown's Veterans' Day commemoration led with such dignity by Chief Roca?
ReplyDeleteIt seems Tuerk *really* doesn't like us Americans and our American holidays and commemorations.
BernieOHare: I believe Mayor Tuerk was at the Hometown Heroes Celebration. https://www.lehighvalleynews.com/allentown/2022-11-11/allentown-honors-hometown-heroes-on-veterans-day
